It wasn't killed off. Got a full run 52+13 episodes and /co/ loved it and had live threads every time it aired on Cartoon Network. I'm genuinely not sure what you're talking about.

That is not being cut short. 52 episodes is a full run. When you get an additional order of episodes it's almost always just 13. It has to do with union rules not something an active network decision. Same thing happened with Teen Titans. Same thing happened with JLU. JL itself only got the original 52 (they were two part episodes but each half counted separately for these purposes).

Some shows are an exception with very high popularity and they might get more episodes under the same name if their revenue is high enough or they get relaunched into a spinoff with a separate name (see Ben 10). But if you make it to 65 you've still gone beyond the normal cutoff. And when it's a brand like Batman maybe they just though they could relaunch the whole thing with a different way instead of keeping the same crew and giving them a pay raise, obviously they gambled wrong since Beware the Batman didn't catch on while BATB was a clear success but it has little to do with the actual reception of the show.

See, that's wrong because CN never intended to renew the show in the first place. This was when Snyder was killing all action shows and right before he was replaced. The show had its premiere announced two weeks before with little publicity, no toy line, and was taken off the air quickly even thought the ratings weren't that bad. Not to mention CN writing it off as a tax loss and didn't even bother telling Toonami, who was airing it.

It never had a genuine chance to succeed like BatB.
