No it'll turn out he got on one of the elevators.

Either they'll have to run in after him, fleeing the collapsing room, thus seeing more of the flashback, or the last thing they see is Chic's face disappearing down the elevator shaft before they're forced out of the alternate dimension (discovering the fact it is one in the process). When they get back to Endtown, they find an alternate Chic that an alternate them left behind eight years ago, now grown up and the leader of an underground resistance opposing Jacob, putting their minds at ease concerning what happened to their Chic.

On another note, calling it now: a whole bunch of people are going to jump down the elevator shafts on top of the lifts, out of desperation.

So what was Farx's game, stuffing so many people in a cell when the elevators can only take a few at a time? Did the end of the world really come a week earlier than it was supposed to and he expected to have plenty of time? Was that what Aaron was referring to when he said it was a week until the end of the world, and by telling his emailer that he was only telling half of the truth? Or is this Aaron writing by the seat of his pants?
>>

I think that it was mostly for the level of details that this page needed, just look how many characters are in this scene. I also think that the pages are been uploaded so late for the fact that it's summer, like I don't know, he wakes up later than usual? those are my assumptions.

Than there's the idiot who made the duplicate thread using the small image (who didn't do the right thing and delete it). It wouldn't have happened if they had used the correct one but they wanted their stupid "tradition".

>do you already have a design for Endtown?
Not sure what you mean specifically.
For aesthetics, I was thinking of keeping it pixelated while using the comic as references.
For navigation of the town itself, originally I was going to have the player move around the town to get to places but given how tediuous that would probably be I'm thinking it should be a town map that you can select locations off of to "zoom in" there.
For the game itself, turn-based squad tactics with socializing is the original goal.

>there will be NPC's?
Definitely, both friendly and hostile. I'm thinking of having some relationship/reputation values with different NPCs (sorta like Alpha Protocol but hopefully less buggy) for more interesting dynamics.

Sorry for not being clear with that question, I was asking if you already have designed Endtown like an interactive city or just a map like you mentioned.
Also, does the relationship/reputation thing would affect the story? Like, depending of your level of relation with the characters they can help you in some points of your adventure? It would be also interesting if you let the player the option to be a nice guy or a asshole with everyone.

>>85131356
>I was asking if you already have designed Endtown like an interactive city or just a map like you mentioned.
Oh, not yet. I have been working with a Great Waste tileset. I hope to show a neat underground town soon, though.
>Also, does the relationship/reputation thing would affect the story?
I have been thinking on this. Given that the current plan is to have most party NPCs be vulnerable to death out on the field, I'm thinking of keeping it localized to the relationship with the player character, party members, and maybe some side content. Some NPCs and their relationships will be integral to the overreaching plot, though.
>Like, depending of your level of relation with the characters they can help you in some points of your adventure?
That, and betray you if they don't like you that much.
>It would be also interesting if you let the player the option to be a nice guy or a asshole with everyone.
Of course. I just have to be careful with such options, though, as I don't want this "saint or devil" dichotomy that some games have.

>>85135395
If there was only time for one load on each elevator with an average of 12 people (and there was nobody but rats and maybe Mallard down there before the war), then we have a few options:

1. Endtown has around 500 elevators. This seems unlikely.

2. This is an Alt-U and this Endtown is going to end up with a very small population - in the "default" universe there was time to get everyone down there.

3. Most of the population of Endtown arrived after the war, trekking there via the wastes (which leaves the question of what kind of shelter they survived the zero-bombing in... patches of Hillside seem to have been untouched, but in between them there would have been large stretches of irradiated land so that then raises the question of how they survived the trip).

Endtown is a ghost town unless there were alot of other shelters out there or people wandering in after the fact like Flask or Wally.

Now imagine that there's a blackout for a few minutes, but for some reason even when the lights come back the modem stops working and you don't have internet or telephone for a week.
>>
>>85162985
That sounds like shit, in my case blackouts happen almost every time it rains and last a day or two but at least the router works "fine" after that.

The drainage system of my city is so shit that everytime it rains the streets basically become rivers, but my internet still works fairly well. In the windy days tho...

Ok, because I think we go a little offtopic here: why Aaron didn't show the reaction of the mutants after the rat boss shoot to the dog guy? At least for me it would have explained the origin of the distancing between the rats and the endtowners.

>The drainage system of my city is so shit that everytime it rains the streets basically become rivers
That's exactly the same as my city. My shitty neighborhood is considered to be in a good place simply because the water never gets inside. Are you in Tamaulipas too?

As for the rats... I guess that goes without saying. Even though what he did was fairly reasonable (would you like a person like that among the other survivors?).

Why though? I only assume those because I think those beetles are meant to be junebugs? And Lord knows it isn't humid enough here for too many mosquitos to survive for long.

Already the air is still and humid and no AC here. I don't want to die.

>what he did was fairly reasonable (would you like a person like that among the other survivors?).
I know he did the "right" thing but I suppose that he still got shit for it. I was just thinking that this was the point were many mutants started leery towards the rats.

Haven't seen the news? Somedays it's a fucking war zone. Worse is that I know people who work with the law and I know for a fact that there are more deaths than the news lets on.

I was thinking in something like the Marx's "lewd hand gestures"

Wally dying won't happen until the world has stopped kicking him. All his friends will die, and he will be forced to kill Holly.
Then. Then Wally will have permission to die. Not a second before.
>>
>>85169639
And it'll be another of Aaron's patented kill-em-all endings.
>>
>>85169639
>All his friends will die, and he will be forced to kill Holly. Then. Then Wally will have permission to die. Not a second before.
Sounds good, but I always have this idea of him somehow discovering that he's nothing but a character for a comic strip in the internet, while he realizes in horror that his mere existence it's just a form of entertainment and that he's condemned to repeat the same actions he did everytime somebody reads the comic again while he tries to convince the public that he is real, in a desperate attempt to scream for help from his terrible destiny.
>>
>>85167091
Glad im not the only one who says this. Edumacation?
>>
>>85170024
I imagine a more "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" scenario. Wally, Gustine, Chic, and Marx are purposely deformed to the whim of a sadistic AI that changes the very world itself to torture the last four beings for centuries over and over again. Until Actual spoilers here Marx manages to kill the other three and is transformed by the vengeful AI into a jellified grotesque being that will suffer for as long as AM can keep the once human form alive

What would be the most popular species at an Endtown strip club? Most folks would rather be looking at humans but they seem to be scarce and using only humans would have some unfortunate implications.
>>
>>85171571
I wouldn't say species, I'd say anthros who had kept most of their figure, like Flask. There's probably more than a few of them around.
>>
>>85171618
Yeah, I was thinking of that. But Flask said that those like her were rare and we've mostly seen big guys in the comic.

I imagine people would still list for dat homoerectus so it would be a depending order of Humans>mammals>humanoids>non humanoids.

Given the current stigma against humans likely they would be separate clubs and seen as less legitimate than the rest.

So despite being more favored likely most clubs would not be human. Likely it would be mammals and other humanoids where spikes depending likely on the unique species: Rabbits being more apt to got to clubs than pandas for example.

Well, humanoids would be birds and reptiles, right?

Mammals would have breasts for the most part so I would think the closer to human you got the better off you'd be.

Kirbee? Fat sacs on her chest, no actual breasts.
