I don't think Hellboy has particularly great worldbuilding to be honest. Like, what do you mean by that? Hellboy is good at building up a consistent and interlinked mythology, but its actual world is overlaid on our own. I don't think it can compare to stuff like Nihei's series, or Berserk, or Gunnm, or Dorohedoro, or Asano's stuff (even his real life stuff is way more developed as a day-to-day lived experience independent of the characters you follow than Hellboy is for 90% of its run).

Hellboy only kicked up into that with the actual apocalypse hitting in BPRD. Hellboy, its own comic, has always been more about traversing and linking different fairytale or fantasy or sci-fi stories than bulding a world. That is way more the BPRD niche, and it's not even been the BPRD niche for the whole of its run.

Just to reconcile comics and weeb stuff, I'd like to mention I think the Hellsing theme goes perfectly with B.P.R.D. reading. I could see it being the opening theme for an animated series and it even synched great when Liz roasted Katha-Hem way back and the glorious battle against the Black Flame in End of Days.
