The fact is, Yugo only won because of plot armor. His decision flew in the face of things the show had previously tried to demonstrate. But I suppose what else can you expect from a rule-of-cool, French pseudo-anime that exists to advertise an MMO. Wakfu isn't a real story, there's no clear narrative or theme, it's just substanceless, popcorn escalation wrapped up in pretty animation, so contradictions will exist wherever they stand in the way of getting to the next big action set-piece.
