Honestly, I think this flashback is running wild and Aaron needs to tighten the focus again. I've been wondering, too, if the filler pages haven't been his way of buying time to give the stuff that's coming up further writing passes.

Just googled what these are, and they're fucking ginormous. According to Wikipedia, large males on their hind legs can reach about 10 feet or 3 meters tall, while females are generally 20% smaller than males. So a female could very well be about 8 feet or 2.5 meters tall. Meaning, this big dumb, friendly girl mutated and gained height and muscle proportionate to that of one of the two largest species of bear, also possibly the largest land carnivores alive.

I'm a fucking plush toy to her, and the uneducated note scares me too. Is she smart enough to be morally balanced just lacking a basic understanding of most things like science and math, or is she 100% completely dense?
