They're doing this so they can pump out more Avengers movies, since Civil War made less money than Age of Ultron, only because it had the title Captain America:Civil War not Avengers: Civil War. Think about it an Avengers cast WITH SPIDERMAN made less than Avengers 2

They also might want to do have different stories with the same actors before they get to old. Having Infinity War parts 1&2 meant they would have to wait several more years to make an Avengers movie which means the the current actors would be too old.

I want them to make the Infinity Wars movies, and then final bow, and then just stop.
Infinity War will be the culmination of everything the MCU has been building towards since the original Iron Man, in many ways. Anything they do afterward can only be a lateral move, at best.

I'm not saying stop making Marvel moves entirely, but maybe DRASTICALLY tone down the shared universe stuff, and no more huge crossovers. We had our experiment, the experiment was and presumably will be good, and let's go ahead and quit while we're still good, before we drive this gimmick further into the ground than it's already going to be by 2018.

Put all the big Avengers aside and focus on other characters.

Instead of Avengers 5, do West Coast Avengers probably named something different like New Avengers because muh international sales with Scott Lang, Rhodey as the new Iron Man, Wonder Man, Tigra, Scarlet Witch, Vision and Captain Marvel, and maybe Hawkeye and Mockingbird.

I agree with toning down the shared universe. Make the movies totally distinct and let the Avengers be the place where they cross over. One of my biggest problems with Ant-Man is that everything great about it is hampered by how formulaic it is, with the comedy, forced love interest and forced shallow villain, and Doctor Strange looks the same way, and I bet Thor 3 is gonna suffer the same fate.

Let the movies totally do their own thing and don't make a single tone define them, "MCU" shouldn't be the franchise, each character should be its own franchise.

Doctor Strange (movie) will show off the multiverse, so they could show off Carol and a bunch of other things Marvel wants to put into the movies that they couldn't before (or didn't want to at the time) in a different universe, and Avengers 4 will be that universe and bringing back the MCU. MCU and that new universe coming together.

I want them to do what comics should, but don't do: Retire characters.

Retire Iron Man, Cap, and Thor (relegate them to occasional cameos in future films) - have them all hang it up somehow. Tony decides to just focus on humanitarian work, Thor decides Earth is well-protected enough to where he can assume his duties as king of Asgard, and Cap probably continues his hero work, but off-screen.

Then you have the New Avengers, lead by their natural replacements:

Avengers (also counting Civil War) has, at this point, done basically everything you can do in big team-up movies. Hell, Infinity War is just going to be a bigger, more elaborate version of the "Cosmic threat" plot from the first Avengers again.
Regardless of what heroes you manage to scrape together, the story possibilities are very limited, unless we start getting into multi-universe or time travel shinanigans and..please no.
