The first HTTYD was 10/10, but this was more like... 7.5/10. The exposition early on was pretty poor, and the whole concept of the villain is able to control giant dragons by shouting at them seemed not only contrived but was entirely unexplained.

I remember my friends and I getting bored quickly in the first 10 or 20 minutes and actually stopping the film about 45 minutes in. It wasn't until after Stoic joined them it became marginally able to hold interest.
