i'm a fan of this Spanish comic book and i need someone who knows about this comic, im so cold
Grew up reading these because my Dad's a translator and would pick them up from Spanish bookstores. I think most of the ones we had came from Puerto Rico.
I love how over the top violent the slapstick could be.

Spaniard here. For me the best is still El Sulfato Atómico.
>>84929228
it's with the giant fucking mosquito, right?
Oh man I grew up on this shit. Shame literally nobody knows about it outside of Spain.

Hey! People *sort* of know about them in Spanish speaking countries... sort of.
Good slapstick, absurd and pun humor.
My favorite part has always been the few introductory pages before each issue, the absurdity of the majority of them always cracked me up.

>>84930359

Im from Greek. They released many of their comics here. I have a lot of them.
It's kinda bizarre seeing that tgey have an animated series and a few movies.
Is their animared movie any good?
Clever & Smart? I liked that as a Kid

Dude, I'm from México and I grew up with these morons, I don't know where my mom picked up these, but time top time she got a comic or two for me and my brother. We still love the comics.I loved the 3D movie too

I consumed those as a child. But even back then they were already kind of old and outdated.
>>84930359
They were very popular here in Germany too. But it seems they didn't last.
>>84933781
I think I even have that exact issue.

One of my first reads, besides Spider-Man and Tintin, in the 80's. My cousin's father worked on Bruguera (which was publishing them back then) and they often gave him trades of this and other series they were publishing. I loved them.
>>84929114
I used to read them when I was a kid. Hilarious stuff.

I only have red timazo al canto but it's great
Ibañez predicted 9/11

I'm from Finland, and they've actually translated some of these. I think it's very unknown, though.

Nah, that one was just trying to ape the basic adventure BD template to make it more marketable outside Spain; the barebones and cheesy but 120% effective formula he later settled down with is way better.
Also, I love how he just goes for any theme or topic he wants for a given story even though the concept is supposed to be slapstick spy shenanigans

Here's some M&F rare waifu material to cheer you up
Anacleto was better
Wasn't there a CGI movie?
>>84938517
Yes there was, my friend and it's called
"Mortadelo y Filemon: Contra Jimmy el Cachondo"
I enjoyed the first movie a lot. It surely didn't work as a M&F movie, but was at least interesting and very different from the usual spanish cinema.

Were they supposed to be parodies of specific characters?. Dude in the armor was a mix of Captain America and El Guerrero del Antifaz, and there's the Faux Thing and Doctor Extraño, but I do remember the Iron-Man lookalike being an actual robot (and I just don't remember that lady at all)
>>84929114 >>84938356 >>84938717 >>84938806
Also, Bruguera Cinematic Universe WHEN??
>>84939036
>Doctor Extraño
smells like spaniard over here
The robot was kinda ultron-ish but lazy, and the lady was just a woman that used the usual things associated with women to fight, like hair spray and so on, you know, the kind of character people would burn a comic publisher to the ground today

Brazilfag
Yes, it's very popular around here
