I've actually seen a few threads popping up recently.

Been going through some stuff again, a lot of it still holds up. candy product wasn't the best, but pretty fun. And later sbemails are almost all top-quality, which feels pretty rare for something that's been going on so long.

Also, a little awkward to see the earlier TGS episodes, before What's Her Face really became sensible.

Candy Product is one of those times when you start going "holy shit SB is saying what we're all thinking!" and then he gets to 'complete with bowls and spoons' and '..pepperoni' and you're like... oh right, this is a joke. SB is not supposed to be a rolemodel.

well I'm certainly with Babycakes and his idea to make energy bars in savory flavors instead of just sweet ones. it sucks how much division there is between those snack types. why doesnt Combos have chocolate-filled? whycome sunbelt can't into pizza bars?
and if we're going to make a bunch of fake chocolate products that are just slightly-chocolate-flavored cocoa-butter-and-palm-oil, why the shit not add all the other possible flavors into that solid fat? where's my fucking strawberry bar?

in fact i've never even seen people talk of 'zombie homestar' or anything.. even though there was a noticeable dip in quality around the compé era. particularly an overreliance on metahumor and jokes that fell kind of flat. Not to mention the cavalier attitude the series started to take with the fact that it was a series (meh let's just blow up another computer after we just spent so much time caring about it being kidnapped in the site's biggest event thingy since DNA evidence)

because even at its lowest, the h-star the h-star-r still does a good jorb

the commentary describes a ton of things i never thought about, ritz bits, MnMs minis,... these all seemed like improvements on the originals to me. Just like mini-miniwheats are better than regular mini wheats.. i think the problem is that they continue to offer the regular size, which means they're definitely redundant. but usually i like the even smaller ones. mini marshes would be better at just about everything you use a marshmallow for. except smores.

I'd noticed recently that the flashes were super choppy, to the point where subtle movements would just be missing because the framerate was so low. But I found this chrome addon and now everything runs smooth as silk again. It also adds a few other features, like captions and shit, but really all I wanted was the framerate to be fixed and it did. A++ would recommend again

With MnMs minis at least, it's about the ratio of shell to chocolate. They do actually taste differently.

Ritz bits, there isn't really a full sized equivalent on the market.
>>
>>84944900
fan-fucking-tastic.
i dont suppose this kind of add-on exists for firefox..

>and take some vitamins too
>>84944951
oh i think youre right. the mini Ms reminded me of sixlets in a fantastic way. something about it made the chocolate seem firmer and.. shreddier? and i think the shell was thinner too.

one thing i wish we could all get together on is the eradication of the normal versions of candy. the normal version is always the fucking worst!

He still says it every one in a while even he completely forgot where he got it from.

as a ff main myself, not that I could find. I already use chrome for porn anyways so I just also made it my homestar browser
>>
>>84945014
what advantages have it for porn?
>>
>>84945039
it's not my main browser so things don't show up in my suggested fields or autocomplete if other people are watching.

plus I can solely dedicate my bookmarks to it

Any H*R stories about your friends and family?

H*R sort of represents a somewhat more innocent time on the internet, and when the internet itself was "a thing" with a certain atmosphere to it. I miss that.

I've a lot of nostalgia for flash animations even if most of them were probably shit(Neurotically yours, etc.)

I still have a huge amount of nostalgia for stick figure animations, mostly because they helped form my taste in music but also because a lot were genuinely great.

The delivery of " I can count to siiiiix!" And Strong Bad not being sure how to kill Tomkins made me laugh so hard
>>
>>84945673
>more innocent time on the internet
not really. at the time everyone was a south park clone. remember Pico?
I'm not going to pretend I didn't think jokes about gore and herpes and drugs were the height of comedy. it just somehow felt right on the internet, yknow? felt fuckin right
homestar was more the simpsons of internet flash cartoons. it showed you cartoons could be a little more, comedically, and still have some heart, and touch you on your day to day shit, not just your wildest nightmares
>>
>>84945891
It's, "I can count to G!" not six.

Teen Girl Squad is the one H*R thing all normies agree on.

They can't into the bizarre wordplay and endless portmanteaus of the regular Homestar verse.
>>
by more innocent i mostly mean pre-/pol/ and g00bergate. 98-2005 was best internet.
>>
>>84945961
>>84945967
Wow I've been getting it wrong the whole time!

That sometimes happens with Homestars characteristic low audio quality. I like it though. The characters sound wrong in perfect clarity.

>I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL KILL ALL OF YOUR DOGS/DOLLS!
yeah it was hard as fuck to understand them sometimes

>First, it got real loud. Then, it got real hot. Then it got quiet. Then it got...unspeakable. And when I opened my eyes, the pool was empty and three days had passed. And Pom pom STILL hasn't landed yet!

It was dogs. Matt Chapman said himself in the commentary.
