Deadpool should be free from the immortality curse now though. I remember in the first issues his healing factor wouldn't keep him alive if his brain didn't get enough oxygen so cutting his head was a way to kill him, but I don't remember if they improved it at some point.
>>

How exactly do you search for someone lost in space? Space is BIG.

he was just slowly drifting away from earth at escape velocity, curled into the fetal position. it would have been easy to map his trajectory and look for his energy signature with comic science

This is a really great arc. It's really hard to say which is which.
>>
>>84887524
Well, Kang did brainwash Vision and turn him against the team recently. Plus, the next big Avengers story is called "Kang War One", and Vision seems to be leading the charge in going after him.
>>
>>84888239
They could probably snatch up the Abomination while they're at it.

Also, Vision might still be butthurt over Iron Lad murdering Teen Vision.

I feel like there should be a pros and cons chart somewhere.

I don't think the character will come back from this. He sacrificed himself and went into self-exile to keep Ultron away forever. And he's mad nobody went searching for Ultron?

So what, now he's going to start murdering people? Teach everyone a lesson, because apparently he hasn't actually changed in the past 40 years?
>>
>>84887479
>HA! You let me let you fall right into my trap

>>84900949
I looked more like he went himself into deep space out of desperation and fear. It doesn't look very out of character for me, seeing Hank run away or close himself to others because he feels he's not fitting, or ashamed.

And they thought he was dead. They didn't even try to look for him probably because they thought he was just dead inside Ultron.

Which is funny. They let Ultron go out there and just forget about him. Ultron, the extremely evil and dangerous IA. Bravo.

Yeah, they're Obi Wan Kenobi level of friends.

he's kinda right

they search for their dead for years (heck, Siryn kept waiting his father eventually coming back) but Hank merges with Ultron and fucks off to space and all behave like

"LOL, WELL, THE GENOCIDAL ROBOT MERGED WITH HIS CREATOR. SUPERHEROES, AM I RITE?"

and left him for dead without even giving a fuck about the rogue AI that already almost provoked the extinction of the Kree Empire one of the times it was left to its own devices on space

They're shitty friends and shitty Avengers

Excellent issue though.
>>
>>84907107

well, I'm sorry you dislike Hank Pym but dude is basically one of the pillars of the Marvel Universe.

Without him you don't have half of the stories that have defined the Avengers

why the fuck are you even reading a Pymtron story if you have Hank Pym so much

He was schizophrenic when he hit Janet.

Do you also give shit to Peter Parker hitting Mary Jane on her pregnancy? He was just mad, no drugs on his system.

Do you also give shit to Tony Stark? He has killed multiple people, and the one time he killed Rita deMara he was himself with just a bit of manipulation from Kang

But hey, I'm pretty sure that you don't give a shit as much about that because you're just an hypocrite with a whiteknight complex
>>
Aww. Excuses 1 through 5 with some added "Other people did it too."

Again. Someone hits your mom. You going to start weighing his accomplishments or are you going to be a man and kick him in the dick?
>>
>>84907379
if someone hit my mom for no reason yeah I'd be mad.

if someone hit my mom accidentally while in the middle of a fucking mental breakdown and that person had an established history of mental illness I'd understand they weren't in control of themselves and its an unfortunate part of mental illnessm, sometimes it can get ugly
>>
>>84907379

if that person was schizophrenic and my mom forced him to marry her on the middle of one of those mental breakdown while NOT EVEN SEARCHING FOR FUCKING HELP FOR HIM of fucking course I would understand it

Is your only argument literally "WHAT IF HE HIT YO MOMMA???!!!"

Now we know who has issues with intrafamiliar violence, but whoever you know in real life that hit his wife, can't be compared to Hank Pym. The man that has saved the world multiple times and one of the architects of the Marvel Universe as it is.
>>
>>84907626
>sometimes it can get ugly

It would get a lot uglier for them when I kicked them in the dick,

>>84908002
>"WHAT IF HE HIT YO MOMMA???!!!"

Since the literal argument I replied to was, in all caps too, "HE ONLY HIT HER ONCE", then yes. Someone hitting your momma once is all the argument I should need.

But I guess I overestimated you guys as having empathy for your own mother. ffs.

>The man that has saved the world multiple times and one of the architects of the Marvel Universe as it is.

Your accomplishments in other areas don't win you "wife beating" coins you can redeem at a later date. It doesn't matter if you build 400 bridges, if you hit my mom, I'm not calling you a bridge builder, I'm calling you the guy I just kicked in the dick.

If someone cured cancer and AIDS and invented a time machine in this very world here, we'd still toss his ass in jail if he beat his children. That's how it should be. The good you do for others doesn't make the person you beat any less beaten.

>>
>>84908237

so you admit to having issues with your dad for hitting your mom

it's obvious that you seem to somehow project your daddy issues into Hank Pym so there's no sense into trying to inject some sense into you as you're literally a fucktard

>we'd still toss his ass in jail if he beat his children

LOL? You fucking wut m8? Do you seriously think that hitting your wife once in the middle of a mental breakdown is comparable to beating your children or your wife multiple times over the years?

You have some issues to solve, fucktard
>>
>>84908599
>so you admit to having issues with your dad for hitting your mom

No. Man, my parents were great, and happy, and they're both quite dead. I actually loved my mom though, so I'd treat anyone hitting her as a bad thing. I'm getting the impression that we differ on that point.

>>84908599
>You have some issues to solve, fucktard

I don't know if you noticed, but I'm not the guy on the pro wife beating side of this argument. lol

>>
>>84908721

>defending a schizophrenic guy that hit his wife once and even clarifying that what he did isn't wife beating means you're pro wife-beating

nice strawman, fucktard, do you have another to feed us?
>>
>>84908002
>>84907626
You forgot the part where he outright warned her to stay away from him since he was having a mental breakdown.
>>84908237
That's not empathy. That's your having some sort of complex or inability to understand context in a situation.
Domestic abuse is a serious issue ,but Janet Pym brought that shit upon herself for taking advantage of an insane man, watching him have a schizophrenic breakdown, hearing him warn her specifically to not go near her at that moment as he is not well, and then proceeding to do almost every single goddamn stupid thing she could possibly do over the course of several months.
Messing with an insane man in the middle of an episode telling them to get away speaks more for a person being a goddamn idiot than it does against the insane man.

Yeah he hit her once, but that was because your momma was being a stupid bitch taking advantage of an immensely unstable man and ignoring the explicit warning signs from person she was taking advantage of.
Yo momma is the abuser in this scenario. She did numerous unethical things not limited to denying a man much needed medical attention and then the product of her unethical behavior literally slapped her in the face.
Do you not understand jut how insane Hank Pym was at that time? He literally thought he was some random guy that murdered Hank Pym.
>>
>>84908902
>nice strawman, fucktard, do you have another to feed us?

You're cute. I'm glad that you're already given up trying to diagnose me over the internet cause that was even cuter.

Him being a schizo is a reason he hit her, but it doesn't excuse the fact that he hit her. He did hit her. A full force backhand, the kind you don't care if people do to your mother apparently. (if they give enough money to charity or something first, I guess)

And please. If it's a strawman to portray you as the man actually defending wife beating with the accomplishments of the husband (laffo), you'd kind of have to not be doing exactly that.

>"He saved the planet!" "He was in the first few comics!"

These aren't things that make people go 'You know what, slap my wife."

>he outright warned her to stay away

I'd like to see someone try that defense in court. "Your honor, I told her to stay five feet away from me. So it's her fault she caught the backside of my hand."

I think he'd "strawman" that dude right into prison.

>That's not empathy.

You don't have to treat your mother as a possession to care when she gets hit. You can, for instance, imagine what it feels like to get hit and think "that would suck." Weird, I know.

>Janet Pym brought that shit upon herself

Wow. You guys are in this pretty deep, huh? Did you know 100% of every domestic abuser since the dawn of time has said, and I'm pretty sure this is a direct quote from each and every one "he/she made me do it."

I mean, do you guys ever read the arguments you make and go "wait a minute. I think I heard this exact same argument on SVU and thought 'no one talks like that in real life.'"

Welp. Here we are.

>>
>>84909299

are you seriously comparing SVU to real life?

Are you that delusional? Life isn't as black and white as you think, kiddo

It's kind of funny how in none of your posts have you actually adressed Hank Pym being a schizophrenic man

Why? Because you know that the moment you adress that a person having mental illness and hitting his wife means the issue isn't as black and white as you want it to be?
>>
Ignore him.

He apparently cannot reason what's a motivation, what's the reasoning for house beaters to do so, what are the difference between that and mental people going violent in an episode, and what is an attenuating circumstance.

Beating it's just beating, all the same. Right, mate? All the cases and causes are the same.
>>
>>84898103
You also forget the part where Janet rooed him into marrying her when she found out he was batshit crazy.

Not saying she asked for it but she married a man knowing he wasn't OK on his mental faculties.
>>
>>84902081

>>
Does hitting someone once during a fit of insanity really count as beating them?
>>
>>84906976
None of the earth heroes cares or knew how serious Annihilation was and they were totally oblivious to what Ultron was doing in space and how close it came to Ultron bringing his phalanx to them.

There is a reason why the Cosmic heroes don't like Earth heroes that much.

The All New Squad at least tried although after that Negative Zone trip they all probably gave up.
>>
>>84887760
Cable knows something about being techno-organic.
>>
>>84909530
>are you seriously comparing SVU to real life?

I think SVU it was overwrought bullshit and I make fun of my girlfriend for watching it, but here we are and here I am reading comments like

>Janet Pym brought that shit upon herself

and

>he outright warned her to stay away

If these arguments were made on a lifetime movie I'd dismiss them as bullshit cause no one actually says that shit in real life. oops. I guess I haven't spent enough time on 4chan.

>Hank Pym being a schizophrenic man

You know they don't give mentally ill people licenses to abuse people, right? His mental illness might be the reason he was a domestic abuser, but that doesn't excuse the domestic abuse. (I already said pretty much exactly that already I'm sure)

>Beating it's just beating, all the same. Right, mate?

lol. Who do you think does all the wife beating in this world? Evil people? No. It's sick people. Sick people do sick shit and them being sick doesn't make it ok for them to beat their wives. Their diagnoses doesn't make the people they beat unbeaten. The people they beat to death don't come back to life when they start taking their meds again.

When a man shoots his infant baby and and his other son and then kills himself (something I saw on the news this morning though I can't remember where), he's not well. "No shit," huh?

That doesn't make his kids not dead. There are reasons, and there are excuses. You guys are giving reasons he beat his wife and pretending that excuses him. It doesn't.

>I can't tell if you're a troll or just stupid.

Well, if you think "beating women is bad" is a troll. Well. I really don't want you around any female relative of mine.
>>
>>84909865
See, I see your reasoning, and kind of understand it. But there's a notable difference in criminalise an unstable mentally ill guy who beat someone, who was his wife at the moment, while in a psychotic crisis, and a house beater with possessive, jealousy, superiority issues born from an ill educational process. It's not fair to put both cases in the same place. I've been what a schizo can do, I've had it in my own family (not beating, but also nasty stuff), and I cannot think you're doing any good to society comparing both cases. One behaviour needs treatment, the other needs re education. And one is more likely to be repeated than the other.

I'm not the one saying Jan deserved it, or saying she's an idiot.
>>
>>84909865
>If these arguments were made on a lifetime movie I'd dismiss them as bullshit cause no one actually says that shit in real life. oops. I guess I haven't spent enough time on 4chan.

Real life doesn't usually involve the woman purposefully withholding medical treatment from a mentally ill man so that she can take advantage of him and thusly exacerbating the problem.
Noone would even question this if any critical thought into just how fucked up the way they were treating Hank Pym was didn't show it as the extremely unethical behaviour of the Avengers (including Janet) blowing up in Janet's face.

I'm pretty sure any sex they had would technically count as her raping him as he was known to not be in his right mind.

>You know they don't give mentally ill people licenses to abuse people, right? His mental illness might be the reason he was a domestic abuser, but that doesn't excuse the domestic abuse. (I already said pretty much exactly that already I'm sure)

I didn't say that. If you go ignore the warnings of a mentally ill person clearly having a psychotic breakdown that is clearly in distress and telling you to leave them alone you are still being a goddamn idiot and your fault for being stupid if they do exactly what it seems like they'd do.
Seriously. He thought he had murdered Hank Pym and was impersonating the guy. The fact that he had to cure himself of his own mental illness via superscience instead of getting a prescription is atrocious.

A single hit done in a known unnatural state of mind not of his own volition for which the guilt has caused him to donate billions towards charities against domestic violence is trumped by the fact that Janet explicitly and purposefully caused everything required for that scenario to happen.

Janet's malignant behavior more closely fits the profile of the abuser than the abusee.
>>

>>84912118

If Your mom was mentally Ill (but fine on medication) and some guy took advantage of that to trick her into marrying him when she explicitly did not want to marry him before, then as her illness went out of control due to the treatment he was willfully and purposefully withholding from her until your mother attacked him ONCE in an episode (and never before or after in her life) would you advocate your mother as being deserving of being jailed and constantly and publicly called out as a domestic abuser by not only the general pubic but the same people that saw what was going on with her and her husband but did absolutely nothing for the next few decades?
Please go on and say your mother would deserve to be reviled for that.

I honestly don't know if the anon who is arguing is really honest or he's high quality bait. I'll go with him being honest.

In any case, we're killing this thread.

>In any case, we're killing this thread.

Surprisingly, the whole outburst made the thread live long past when most of the other storytimes fell off the board.

Man, this issue reminds me just how well Duggan is at choreographing fights.

So what do they do with Pymtron once he's down for the count?
Kill the organic bits and wipe the metal ones? keep them in stasis?
>>
>>84912840

I'm banking on Pymtron escaping Imagine if he teams up with The Maker
>>
>>84912816
Oh, you're right. But at which cost...

>>84912840
If they separate him from Ultron, it's going to be hard to keep him alive. And they cannot say that he's really dead anymore. He's stated repeatedly they're both in there. Ultron even talked to Hank in the dialogue of one of the panels, as if they were not even sharing their thoughts entirely. And I don't see Ultron orchestrating a pantomime in the middle of a fighting scene just to convince the avengers that they're both, to be honest.
>>
>>84913183
Not. Gonna. Happen.

Hank backhanded Janet ONCE in a psychotic fit (he wasn't even SUPPOSED to have done it but whatever, the damage is done), in the same breakdown he tried to make a machine to attack the Avengers so that he could swoop in and save the day. Janet then left him, he got kicked from the Avengers, was shamed and ostracized, then imprisoned. People have NEVER let that go, least of all Hank himself. It seems like Janet was the ONLY one who matured enough to forgive him, despite her being a large cause of his issues (manipulated him into marriage, was always flirting around with his teammates, etc.)

I think it's pretty low to define someone around one mental breakdown they had 40 years ago, instead of everything they've been before and since. Which is a superhero. Sure he has self-esteem issues and hates himself for what he did, but he's a hero nonetheless. Well, at least he used to be...I guess he's just a full-on villain now.
>>
>>84913187

Well we know they aren't completely sharing their thoughts because Ultron got tripped up by Jan's attempt at referencing the past events Pym knew, but Ultron didn't.

>>84913224
Plleeeeease! They could be morally dubious SCIENCE partners! And The Maker is looking for 616 scientists to help build his machine that solves everything! It'd be fun on the bun, you know it!
>>
>>84913250
Pym had a hard life.
>>
>>84913250

Yeah but if Pym wasn't a huge fuckup then he wouldn't be an interesting character. He'd be just some boring guy who changes his size, like the Atom. Or that other, more asian Atom.
>>
>>84913384
Pym does not like reed. Pymtron would just go out of his way to annihilate him and corrupt any a.is he has lying around.
>>
>>84913384
It's Reeds, an even more obnoxious but funnier Reeds, true. But he's Reeds. Not gonna work.

If it works, it's because they're both doing completely unrelated tasks on the same work.
>>
>>84913447
He's always had crazy, dangerous ideas, and insecurities. How's that not fun? Way more fun than any melodrama the writers can come with.
>>
>>84913493
I don't know why I keep writing Reeds instead of Reed. I guess it's time to sleep.
>>
>>84913489
>>84913493

I guess them hating each other sort of is what makes me want to see it more...? What do the kids call it, "Foe yay?"

I just miss Reed and Pym shitting on each other.
>>
>>
>>84887954
It seems like Ultron's anger and hate infected Hank. He can't help but look at the Avengers in the most negative way possible. If their minds weren't merged, he might have been a little ticked that his friends just left him in space, but he wouldn't have tried to murder them.
>>
>Deadpool is an Avenger

This bothers me more than Wolverine being an Avenger

>Moon Knight doesn't wear a helmet of any kind while in the vacuum of space

Gotta cash in that 'pool popularity.
>>
>>84895186
I agree. X-IT when?
>>
>>84916825
he got in captain america's good books in Duggan's 'the good, the bad, and the ugly' arc, and it's been quite some time since he accidentally murdered someone
>>
>>84895452
This is not fun. I don't see why Avengers are allowed to use X-Men characters. Don't you have some characters on your own?

>>84897971
Better death than avengers
>>
>>84917060
>Deadpool gets pissed he's been used by Hydracap.
>feeds him his flesh and regenerated his brain after laying the supreme smack down on him.

Anyways, fuck Spencer.
He wrote three (3) decent issues from Marvel, and then everything I've seen of his since has been dogshite.

Uncanny Avengers should've ended at Vol. 1, No. 22.

Prove me wrong.
>>
>>84917171
Axis and vol 2 were a mistake.
>>
>>84917228
Tbh I really, immensely liked vol. 2, but it just wasn't necessary.

dam pym u cheeky bastard
>>
>>84888128
Why would they? The last they saw of him, he was screaming about how much he hated himself before flying into space.

This isn't a normal person we're talking about. This is Hank Pym.

They go after him? LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

They leave him alone? WHY DIDN'T YOU GO AFTER ME?!

He's a bit of a woman, if you hadn't noticed.

Why don't villains just say that more often?

1.Ultron is dangerous.
2.Because they thought ultron killed pym.

Both are good reasons.

I have.

I just really can't stand Spencer, and I haven't since 2011.
I guess it's the trainwreck mentality.

I will say that the first act was aces though.

Wasp looks great here

This is the first "big team fight against a single villain" arc I've liked reading in a long time. Duggan really makes it work.

All this and Hank won't have had his numerous meds in a while.

am i the only one a bit excited with how the dialogue might play out with tony and pymtron?
