How would you have improved Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice?

More colour.
Less dream sequences.

A movie about Batman and Superman. Not about a thousand of collateral plots. Let the characters talk for themselves instead of your generic and bland symbolism

More colour
Make superman to smile or at least show to have emotions instead of putting him like some kind of emotionless robot
Centre the movie of Batman and Superman and not on secondary plots that confuse people or are boring fillers

cast this guy as lex, get rid of the piss jar, everything else the same.

First off I wouldn't have jumped straight into a Batman vs Superman movie. It was a mess because it had to establish so many people and concepts that we hadn't seen in MoS.

Only one dream sequence instead of literally five.

Cast Lex better.

Give Superman a chance to say something at the hearing before the explosion.

Cut Doomsday and Superman's death.

During the Martha moment, don't flashback to Thomas Wayne.

Have Superman and Batman unite to fight Lex, who has built a power armor suit using Kryptonian technology.

Remove Doomday entirely.

Cut Lois' subplot.

Cut Wonder Woman.

Cut the Mad Max Batman sequence

Take all that extra screentime I just gave you to make Superman an actual character in the story instead of a plot device with no agency. I mean with all that cut out you have what, an extra half-hour or more?

Don't kill Superman at the end. What a mind-mindbogglingly terrible choice.

Rewrite almost all of the dialogue. Lucas wishes he could have written conversations and one-liners as bad as the ones in BvS.

-Make Superman actually inspiring, someone both the audience and characters in the movie love, not fear.
-Jimmy Olsen is neither an FBI agent or killed off

-Recast Lex Luthor and rewrite his plan/goal is developing weapons against Superman and metahumans. His justification being that whole "should Superman turn against us, we should be prepared". He convinces the need for said weapon development by framing Superman through secretly cloning an unstable copy, aka Bizarro.

-Lex doesn't know who Superman and Batman's real identities are

-Batman does not kill

-Get rid of the nightmare sequence

-Get rid of the Justice League cameos

-Have the fight between Superman and Batman revealed to be staged, that Batman KNEW Superman was being framed, and the two worked out a fake fight to flush out Lex and Bizarro.

Piss jar was the best part of the movie. If Gal had drank it the movie would be a 10/10
