I enjoyed it for the sake of getting to hear the lines from that story spoken by Hamill and Conroy. Plus some of the iconic shot recreations were nice, I especially liked the reveal of the Joker behind Barbara's door.

In the comics, it was like, WHAM! There's the punchline.

Here, the joke was delivered fast. The kind of gag where the punchline zips by you and it's only funny once you catch up.

I always thought that if they needed to pad out The Killing Joke for a movie, the smart thing to do would be to add more versions of the Joker's backstory. He says he prefers it to be multiple choice, but we only ever get one. Instead of that, though, we get, well, the prologue.

Why did they add that, of all things? Was it to placate the feminists who didn't like the book? They're never satisfied, so I'm guessing their reactions were funny.

Also, the prologue is clearly set in the modern era, going by the openly gay guy and the way everyone dresses. And yet, I'm expected to believe that the Joker dealt with 30's-era Italian mobsters. That's bullshit.

Animation and character design was really shit and everywhere. God awful production really, only Hamill was worth it.

However it felt like a fan fiction attached to a bad adaptation with bad animation, bad cinematography and many many different art styles.

They should had just gotten Paul Dini to write it and the team that animated BTAS Moive phantom menace, and the soundtrack composer should had been the person that did the music from the series.

I'm with you but all of those people are busy doing other projects. The time to do this was 10 years ago when they were stil (Roughly) under the same roof. Personally, I think the greatest loss was Andrea Romano, you can tell the performances just aren't right. I also feel like people aren't aware Azarello's track record with capes is a little Sketchy. I'm sure Timm was all about Barb/Bruce, but all the other weirdness in the movie could just have easily been him.
