Synderverse already blew their load on yellow lightning by having that be doomsdays special effect power, because kryptonian heat vision is a golden laser effect.

Obviously, no one cares what the Flash's powers look like. Its worth changing the details of one of your recurring major hero characters so that a bad guy with 15 minutes of screen time has that special effect instead.

It also helps distance movieflash from showflash.
