And Hulk can push/throw him around because of the sheer amount of propelling power he has but that doesn't mean those blows are actually harming Thor.

Not true. Odin suddenly holds back his rage on a couple of occasions (I think one was when he was banishing Thor) cause' he's resisting the Odinsleeep. Also, Laufey even comments on it on Jotunheim.
