The thing is Katana is loyal as fuck to batman, she is one of the heroes that would side behind batman over superman 10/10, she was also his sidekick in the last animated series.
Her relationship with batman defines her.

And in this movie she isnt even a villian, she is just a bodyguard? At least DC REALLY REALLY fucked up the oportunity of seeding a future outsiders vs suicide squad movie she will be Batman's spy, especially since it's confirmed waller knows Batman is bruce wayne, so that would put them on equal ground...
I want Katana to be a "fake" spy, batman put her in the team so Waller would think she knows who batman's Spy is, but the real Spy is Eastwood's Grayson.
