I liked the first one...
>>84763659
Is this fucking vaporwave?
>>84763723
No, it's just a whole different product that you expected.
People thought it was gonna be Thor: The Winter Soldier. Nut actually it's gonna be Lethal Weapon with space Vikings.
And I'm fine with that, too.
The old one was better. This new logo looks like from a 80s game.
>>84763787
>Lethal Weapon with space Vikings
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enKdDghi1oQ
>>84763659
>thor movie without foster and whoever kat dennings was supposed to be
does this mean it has a chance of being good?
>>84763787
Definitely an improvement over Thor: Two Broke Girls
>>84763723
>>84763787
>>84763842
>>84763858
>>84763901
>>84763916
That's actually Thor: Kung Fury
>>84763659
Thor: Hotline Miami
>>84763787
>Thor: The Winter Soldier
I thought we were all expecting a Buddy Cop movie?
>>84763659
That's retro as fuck....I dig it.
>>84763659
Of course you did. Can we just reboot the franchise already.
>>84763659
THORTAL KOMBAT
Looks like a 90's cartoon logo
Not bad if that's the tone. Also it has fucking Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster.
>>84768542
And Thor 1 had Anthony fucking Hopkins and Idris Elba. Having decent actors doesn't make a movie good.
>>84763659
SUPER THORIO BROS
>>84763659
I'm guessing they're trying to go for a Guardians of the Galaxy vibe. I think since they went overly serious with the first two and they didn't do well, now they're going for cheesy, funny style of story telling. With Thor and Bruce exploring the nether-realm and broing it out while getting over their failed relationships.
>>84763659
Everything Taika says is so cool, and he is the most talented director to work with marvel to date.. but none of it seems fitting for Thor and much less when the first two were crap
>>84769741
They stuffed The Dark World full of comic relief moments when they shouldn't have. Ragnarok, of all things, should have been an earnest attempt at a space-fantasy.
>>84763659
Wait, I'm kind of confused.
Isn't Ragnarok basically a Thor clone that went evil created by Tony Stark when Thor went missing during Civil War?
Is the movie really gonna be about that?
>>84769741
The first two movies were just Sleepless in Seattle plue a couple punching scenes. Guardians of the Galaxy, despite having a wackity-schmackity-doo sense of humor, took itself far more seriously than either Thor.
>>84770069
No. Ragnarok is essentially Norse mythology's apocalypse.
>>84770069
No you retard its referencing the world ending event known as Ragnarok from Norse myth
>>84763659
I feel the arcade overtaking me. It is a good pain
>>84769865
>most talented
Brannagh
>>84763659
That was because before it was serious. Now it's a wacky comedy guise!
Why does marvel studios feel the need to fuck up at every corner?
Good thing the mcu is dying.
That logo was fine before. I just hope it doesn't affect the Thor books
>>84770826
>MCU is dying
Oh man, I love people like you who say it's dying every movie and get BTFO only to say the same thing and get proven wrong over and over again.
>>84771375
Avengers $1.5 billion
Avengers age of omelettes $1.4 billion
Avengers: Civil war with Spiderman, yes, THE Spiderman. Mere $1.1 billion
As a true marvel fan, I'm glad its dying.
>>84763659
Jesus christ. Why so fucking 80s?
>>84770826
Wait...what the fuck is that bottom pic?
>>84763659
>Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban, Goldblum
>Hulk, Surtur, Skurge, Hella, Grandmaster
>Taika Waititi coming off a 100% rotten tomatos movie
>Cool looking logo
Even then, i dont feel right. All of this is a recipe for success but i just dont feel it. Thor movies have been shit and the last chapter isn't being taken seriously, i dont like the tone suggested to us right now. I want to be hyped but i just cant
>>84771578
because 80's comics and logos were fucking great
>>84771572
Avengers: The first of it's kind. An event film.
Avengers 2: Shitty movie that nobody saw.
Cap 3: It's called Captain America, not Iron Man. It's a surprise it made as much as it did.
Now, where were those box office numbers for Batman v Superman again? I especially like the part with the 81% drop.
>>84771758
Power Rangers, brospeph.
>>84771895
But Thor's 80s logo wasn't something from an arcade or disco.
This is Heavy Metal homage you fucking idiots
>>84772149
I'm a marvel fan but kee up the nice company wars. Well, enjoy the dying mcu kid. Not long to go now :^)
>Avengers + spidey flopped hard
>Infinity war: $1 billion budget
Lel
>>84772149
Enjoy your ban.
>>84771375
Then what is happening over at DCCU?
>>84770069
Couldn't manage to google the word Ragnarok?
Fine.
In Norse Mythology- there is a snake that is wrapped around the world. Jörmungandr, The Midgard Serpent. It's breath is the source of all poison, and it lives at the bottom of the ocean. It's usually symbolized by a snake eating it's own tail.
Each Norse God has his own arch enemy, Odin fights Fenrir a giant wolf, and Thor fights the Midgard serpent.
Ragnarok is when all the gods fight all their enemies to the death. And Nidhogg-the dragon eats the damned in Hell will eat Yggdrasil- The World Tree. And the whole universe gets destroyed.
But yeah we can make a Planet Hulk movie in stead.
>>84772917
>Replying to yourself because you have shit for brains
>>84763659
Fuck you guys, I love logos like this. Make them look as comic book as possible.
>>84771839
>Karl Urban
>Skurge
If we get Gjallerbru in any form it will redeem all of the Thor fipms for me in an instant.
>>84772919
I don't know, some of the casting suggests at least an interpretation of Ragnarok. You can be pretty sure Odin bites it, and there is probably a good chance that Thor "dies" so he won't be around for Infinity War part 1. Loki as well unless he is supplanting Mephisto.
Hulk's involvement really doesn't seem to fit in with all the other plot pieces that seem to be in motion. My guess would be Thor gathering warriors to campaign with him against Loki and Hela, happens acrosss Hulk.
>>84770069
The other guys were kind of douchebags about it, but yeah it's essentially the Revelations of Norse mythology. Although, these other guys failed to mention that you were correct in that there IS a Thor clone named Ragnarok as well.
>>84778575
Boy, my wording was awful there.
>>84763659
Gives me a power-metal vibe. I can dig it.
>>84770069
Kill yourself, my man. You can't just post on 4chan and be wrong. Where do you think we are?
>>84763659
12 year old me would have watched the fuck out of that cartoon in the 80's
>>84780327
>12 year old in the 80s
you're old.
>>84770826
>Phototastic
>Windows phone user thinks his opinion matters
Fucking kill yourself subhuman.
>>84772917
>the current top three highest grossing films of 2016 so far are all Disney movies
>the sixth one is too
>three of the other six are Fox
Jesus christ. Sometimes I forget how small the big budget level of movies is.
>>84763659
this logo feels like 3 years too late
NINJA GAITHOR
>>84772424
You're a retard if you think IW has a billion dollar budget.
And Spider-Man doesn't mean anything. His box last movie was outgrossed Cap 2.
>>84782338
The two films combined has a billion dollar budget, yes
>>84782595
Source?
>>84764104
This would make a great Thor Movie after 2 crummy ones.
>>84771572
Avengrers 1 was an event, something that never happened before.
I really doubt a superhero movie will ever make as much as that one.
>>84772917
>Jungle Book made 50 million more than a Batman and Superman movie
>in the middle of the capeshit histeria
>>84783429
JL has the chance to but still unlikely, both Infinity War movies definitely will combined.
>>84763659
I could get behind this logo if not for the scan lines or whatever you call them. Looks like video game graphics.
>>84783429
>>84783532
DC's only chance for that is Crisis on Infinite Earths.
>>84783625
The only thing that could make more money than Avengers 1 would need to be something big, like how Avengers 1 was, something Marvel vs DC-tier.
>>84783452
The number that always scares me is that Ant-Man over-profited BvS.
ANTS made a clean $100m profit, according to some reports. BvS sort of payed for itself and some peanuts.
That's mind-blowing to me.
