My real issue with how they handled the cluster is that it was over so quick.
They hyped it up for nearly half a season, then solve the problem in about 5 minutes.
If they wanna solve it with talking or whatever, fine, but it should have been a full episode or two of Steven learning things from the cluster itself, and trying to find ways to convince it and its multiple gems that Earth deserves to live.
