Last Episode of Teen Titans "Things Change"
It ruin what could have been a spectacular swan song to end the series on which was "Titans Together Part 2"
Hell I thought that was the last episode for a short while but then I discovered the real last episode and it was just nuts however it didn't piss me off till I discovered that was Todd Casey desperate push to try and make a 6th season. Thanks to that bone headed desperation we never got a good closure to the series. Hell if they left well enough alone Teen Titans Go might not have happen either.

The episode itself is also very hamfisted and makes little sense beyond making a huge "to be continued" out of nothing

Things Change is a great final episode. Teen Titans constantly had puberty parallels, with Starfire's chrysalis, Cyborg's entire body image, Raven's emotional insecurity, Beast Boy's monster/testosterone episode, and Robin's growth as a person throughout. Beast Boy was always the best analog for this since he's easily the most immature character, and him adapting to new situations and overcoming them is a continual force. The final episode's moral and mystery antagonist is about adaptation. Beast Boy's abilities are adaptive to situations, but he's never quite been good at accepting things changing, which is the most obvious part of adolescence.

BB tries vainly to bring "Terra" back and save her but ultimately, it being Terra and her wanting to be saved is just dwelling on the past and how things used to be. Beast Boy has to put the past aside, because you can't move forward when you're constantly looking back. Things change, that's the way it is. Natural selection means if you don't fit or adapt, you die. Beast Boy had to adapt, and accept and move on.

Sure, outside of that episode it was a plea fo a sixth season but without the sixth season it makes a nice capstone to the show.

I agree. It was an interesting way to end the show. It's a little out of place but it works as the metaphor for puberty.

It's about accepting, about moving on. Kind of a bittersweet ending. Shame it was kind of ruined for me by the comics continuity but by itself I liked it.

Speaking of KOTH, Luanne Virgin 2.0 pisses me off to no end, in conjunction with I Remember Mono. Pretty much solidified that Peggy is a lousy character who suffers a serious case of doublethink.

I'd chalk that up to shitty grasp of continuity on the writers' part if anything. Hank's character would fluctuate between a conservative guy who doesn't understand a lot of modern society but was willing to let it go to literally my grandfather who won't even let his son hold hands with another girl on their date to fucking Amish country.

King of the Hill is a show I claim to love but there are massive chunks of the series I can't stand to watch. I guess that's a testament to quality if that they made things so frustrating for the characters that its frustrating to watch....or I'm just autistic.
