What he's talking about is that this show is going to get extra scrutinized because the show stars a black person. Particularily the casuals on /tv/ and /pol/ and some on /co/ will come after this show for "agenda-pushing" even if there won't be.

Take pic related for example. In Luke's origin, he dealt with corrupt cops while in Seagate Prison, Albert Rackham and William Quirt. This was written back in the 70s by Archie Goodwin (a white guy). But you just KNOW that certain boards here will get all butthurt and accuse this show of being "anti-white" and "anti-police" (even though Misty Knight and Rafael Scarfe will be main characters and are good cops).

I'm fucking psyched. I dig Luke cage even though he's not one of my most read comic characters. Honestly I'll use this as an excuse to catch up on more of his older shit...same as I did with Jessica Jones.

Either way I lived both DD seasons And thought JJ was pretty Damn good in its own right. So I have high hopes for this. Anyone knows if iron fist will appear?

There's a rumor that he got casted so early because he'll make a cameo near the end of the show. I think it's more likely they'll put a teaser in the credits like DDS2.

Though I don't think the scene is going to be a political one. Since he's an escaped con (even for a crime he didn't commit), he's probably trying to superhero and these cops recognize him and try to bring him in and the only way he can leave is by fighting them.
