The sea is a very salty and very cold brine that can flash freeze you in an instant, but crisscrossing empty volcanic vents provide more than enough room to move around.
Your Consorts are the the Sea Pigs, squishy and friendly invertebrates who are at home in the icy brine, and who can’t survive in the empty volcanic vents. There are thin spots with ice windows that you can talk to them through, though.
Your Denizen is Himavat, who is keeping the water still and cold in order to make sure no life grows there outside of the Sea Pigs, who are staying low and out of his view.

Its a good experience if you dedicate yourself to reading it in a couple months or less as I've seen some people do. The ending part is pretty dissapointing, but I can confirm to you that if you read it in a non-extensive timespan the amount of turnarounds and interesting plot points before it compensate for it highly.

The word torturous got cut out. My bad.

Just expanding on it because I've been skimming through it and got to the ending part. The whole thing with Gamzee appearing out of everywhere to move the plot along is fine, it made sense as the Bard of Rage to perpetuate chaos and to be able, through clown magic or what have you, to be able to use Aradia's timetables with his jokerkind strife specibus.
HOWEVER this whole concept gets borken when Vriska's classpect gets literally interpreted by her stealing the light of the comic from every single other character. Suddenly she can use the time tables. Suddenly the whole development her ghost self had with the Meenah and Aranea team gets thrown off the window.

I don't mind Davekat at all, I saw something going on there since the walkaround dancertor intermissions. BUT something else we saw there was Dave getting interested in talking more to Kanaya, learning stuff with her, having som Kan-Dave time which we never got to see.
I see a lot of complaints towards the whole Vriska stopping Rose to drink thing as well, and I think that would've been fine if she had reason to care. If in fucking Vriskagram we saw something like... IDK, maybe Dave had a time with Kanaya, Vriska overheard that and decided to meddle, you know, to repay the whole meddling Kanaya went through to get her ass out of problems back in SGRUB. Instead we get pretty much nothing. We just get a still-abusive Vriska that had close to no character developmet she had the time to have in the bubbles. The way she talks to Terezi in that 8 conversations part pains me until this day.

Land of Crocoite and Wastelands

Basically a bunch of ruins of structures about to fall off or already on the ground, girders and houses painting the scenary of a dusty dry land popullated by chameleons that hide themselves. In the distance of this highly populated remains of a society, huge craters from explosions, lakes of what looks like poluted/radioactive trash, and places facing a nuclear winter (sky covered in dark clouds of ash) paint the far-away scenary of a mechanically-advanced-by-accident Land populated by careless lizards turned to war against a Denizen.
All this with the twist that some structes are turned to Crocoite midway, with caves filled with spikes of the thing and even huge protrusions of orange/red crystals coming of out the ground in different concentrations and sizes. Sometimes a huge shard, sometimes small multiple tubes. Can even have some crossing through structres like its cutting them in half.
A Land doesn't exist to fuck up with the player necessarily, at least, not kill them on entry, so I'd assume a player that is chosen to have it probably has a hazmat suit at hand at all times for whatever reason.

Remembering my old notes from my time RPing, it would me cool for it player to be human and the first to enter, so other players have time to get their own suits on as well before crossing a portal without knowing what to expect and getting fucked by radiation. The house would probably appear atop a spiky sealed cooling tower of a deactivated nuclear power plant.
The denizen would be Ziz/Simurgh who would destroy the machinery, factories, reactors, metallurgical industries and military ships and jets the consorts would build, in an attempt to bring back the ever-dwindling forests and ocean, she is sleeping in the core of the planet to regenerate.
It would be cool to have something like pic-related, maybe a cemetery of beached military ships, all perforated by crystals all they sank to the bottom of the once-there ocean.
