How would you have integrated him to the MCU?

There're ninjas running around with some ominous super weapon. There was a massive fucked up riot down on a dock (if I'm remembering Jessica Jones right) and SHIELD didn't care.

Also, just because SHIELD wasn't explicitly shown in the film doesn't mean they weren't around. Except from the mid credits scene, did you see any actual SHIELD agents in Iron Man 1?

I suppose if this was all done earlier maybe one of those little shorts could've been thrown in, like "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Thors Hammer" or something.
