I hated Eisenberg as Luthor the first time I watched the movie, but i've kinda grown to see where snyder is coming from with him. Obviously, in the comics, Lex is a genius & ruthless businessman, sure he's evil, but he's sane. Say what you will about Lex from BvsS, but was he that bad? No, they just got the wrong actor. Every line, every ham moment, would have been better with an older, larger actor. If everything that Eisenburg said and mugged for the camera had been done by Gene Hackman then it would have been perfect. It's a case of too small, too thin, too young, resulting in being totally off target.
