That's fanon though, we actually have no idea what happens to the dream bubbles once everything is over.

If everyone dies that means innocents like (Tavros) and Aradia share Vriska's awful fate, which they frankly don't deserve.
If everyone survives then Vriska probably gets to enter the new universe and live forever while the others are left behind in dream purgatory.

Both of these options are literally shit. Obviously there's a small chance Vriska alone could permadie, but considering how she promised Terezi they'd meet again, it's probably not happening. And I don't see how the ghosts could escape the dream bubbles either.

So I'm pretty pessimistic about the whole deal, and I'm sure the epilogue will find away to clear none of those things up somehow.

And looking at how Terezi, Rose, and Karkat were can we really say that everyone was happy in the end?

Well it's hard to say on an character interaction sense, but in a world-building sense Eridan did successfully show some of the interesting features of Skaia and how they can lead to terrible things for both the individual players and the group as a whole as a result.

Initially he's shown as this highly dangerous and unstable element with clear issues with relationships. He needed a stern schooling on his issues, enough to get the message into his thick head, but his position on the hemospectrum and off-putting personality meant he drove everyone away from helping him, so he self-destructed over time.The key part of that self-destruction is his place in the game, in that the game demands players to work through their issues to successfully finish the game.

Eridan is also another indicator of the elements of the troll session that was handled incorrectly due to Doc Scratch's alterations to their society, perhaps Eridan played into that whole universal plan from Doc Scratch? Or perhaps he was just an highlighted element of the flawed troll's approach to the game. Either way, Eridan shows just how badly one person can fuck up this massively important task of creating a new universe, due to simple reasons.

I think if there's anything to take away from his character it's that, sometimes even off-putting people need some help, whether they want it or not and if they're willfully ignored they can end up doing some terrible things for simple reasons.

Though that being said, it's still not obvious if there were greater forces at play with Eridan's whole betrayal, you could argue he was being influenced by some force that made him go to such extremes or he was doing it under his own warped thinking willingly. Either way, pretty interesting as a supportive character for the setting, terrible supporting character for the actual main characters or plot.

Had he been fully trying in a fair fight he likely would have been able to easily beat Gamzee, given how dangerous people consider Equius. The problem is Gamzee was clever enough to shoot him from a distance and immobilize him before they even started fighting, so perhaps he would have won regardless of intent given that first blow. Even if Equius didn't have any hang ups when he went to fight he may have fallen for that same trick. I personally think that he'd still be able to kill Gamzee had he tried to fight back when he got close, but the whole hemospectrum and fetish hangups just make the whole think pointless to discuss while factoring those in.
