Gosh I had the best theater experiences with this movie.

It was just me and my father watching it alone in a theater.

When this came out and I saw ads and shit on TV, I did not notice just how fucking terrible the animation was. I thought it was some weird artstyle.

The sequel was fascinatingly bad.
As in, you can literally take notes on what not to do in a sequel.

I remember doing some research on a Christian CGI series called Gaither's Pond because I had to now who it came from. Turns out, after some digging I did, this movie and GP have some ties creator wise.

In the commentary they said that they weren't really trying to hide it. They liked the fact that a kid in a theater yelled out, "I knew it!" at a screening. I found that cute. The movie is for little kids..
