I never liked Apollo before he moved to DC, partially because of the ridiculous long hair. It was bad enough that most of his characterization was basically "Midnighter's waifu", they had to make him look the part too. He's one character whose redesign I approve of.

I hate a lot of the things Millar did with The Authority re: MUH EDGE but his plots were fun (like the evil Authority 2.0), and he wrote a good Midnighter and Apollo. Brubaker is good, Abnett's stuff is good. There was also another Morrison (not Grant) who wrote a few solid issues. I also like some of Giffen's Authority, even though his solo Midnighter sucked.
A lot of people love Kev, but I could never really get into it.
