Seems to me like it aired at just the right time.

Let's be honest if this had aired 20 years ago it would have gotten stomped in ratings.

The only reason why it's doing well now is that there's no real competition for the kind of show that it is (sitcom-lite). It wouldn't have survived against heavy hitters like Rugrats and peak Spongebob.

It's a cliche formula that actually manages to be enjoyable and relatively "comfy" and unlike most comedies of this style isn't entirely pathos driven. This is a trend we see more and more with millennial viewership as, surprise surprise, most people today don't watch tv just so they can see someone else's world burn.

But since the entirety of this show's fanbase has transitioned to /trash/ for 24/7 fanfic/incest/creepy fetish threads (which even those are dying off) there's really no point in talking about this show here with any expectation of a thread last more than fifteen replies.

Comfy is boring. It is the worst genre. Things get boring and harmless without conflict.

Younger people desire boring stuff where no one gets hurt and characters just do their own thing. Screw that. Sure, I like stories with appy endings, but I want to see characters EARN them through blood, sweat, and tears, damn it.

That's why shows like Loud House will always be shit. There is no ambition, no drive to succeed, only dull day-to-day antics. Its not even particularly funny. If no one is getting hurt or offended then it probably isn't funny.
