It triggered me, too. Cable is as subtle as a brick when he needs to, hard as a rock, and that is kindness, in a certain way. He wasn't lying, besides. The problem with Pym is that he has to compete with perfect and godlike unflawed scientists as Richards. Even if he's way more imaginative and more prone to risks than all of them. Which, for me at least, makes him very likeable, and even relatable because I'm pretty good in my own subjects, but I've been always overshadowed by people who are better (and more awesome, too) than me, and they deserve to be on top by their merits (hard worked and talented people, always, so I cannot blame anyone. I'll stop here, I'm a bit sensitive today..

I also want Hank to get better, and, if posible, being the new-not-so-new SCIENCE guy for the Earth-616 (and beyond).

It's been the main interpretation of the character for decades now. Even Busiek and Slott, in the course of rebuilding Pym, spent much of their time addressing and explaining his flaws and instability.

I can see New Avengers cancelled, and probably a mutant team with Sunspot and Cannonball +3/4 muties more would sell better than New Avengers.
Old Man Logan, EX, Uncanny and New X-Men sell similar numbers, there can be a fourth book.
