In Reign of Doomdays, Lex had gotten DD from Darkseid when he was President, and made a bunch of clones, which he upgraded so that they had particular talents to go against Steel, Superboy, Supergirl, etc., and there was a ship designed as a trap for all of them, it was the side story to the Black Ring story line, but they were more intelligent. I don't understand why, when he pulls the suit out of the drawer to go back to the classic suit, its suddenly missing the trunks.

In Convergence, he's wearing the classic uniform, trunks and all. In the first issue of the Lois & Clark mini-series that feeds into these re-births, he's also shown wearing the outfit. Obviously, he puts it away and starts to wear the black out-fit, but when he pulls out something to wear, other than DC Executive order #1 or whatever it is, why is it missing trunks.

I'm mean, I'm not one of these people that cares about it (although I do think given the blue boots, they really need something to break up the unitard look he's left with). But I do want my comics books to have some reasonableness. If they are going to spend, essentially, an entire issue on how Lex bought himself New 52 Superman's cape, which is actually a Kryptonian artifact if the last five years mean anything at all, then why can't they expand a few panels on this?

I've actually only read Jurgens Booster Gold second run stuff, that's my only real feel for him as a writer. I've read a few one off issues he wrote and they don't really stick out for me. DoS seems to be a Berganza decision. And they brought Jurgens in because he wrote the Convergence books and he was writing the Lois and Clark mini that followed the Convergence books. Those all sold well. It was part of the Our Worlds At War crossover. President Luthor ordered Manchester Black's new Suicide Squad to free Doomsday to fight Imperiex. He and Superman actually fought together, up until Imperiex Prime burned Doomsday away down to a skeleton.

I'm having an easier time embracing this costume than the previous New52 costume Jim Lee designed. It seems simpler and the blue hue looks more aesthetically pleasing. My biggest problem with the armor suit wasn't the collar or the armor lines. It was the wrist area that overlapped the too of Supes' hands. Made him look like tge suit was too big for him.
