Because that's actually what you do when making music to go along with a game or movie - you use certain evolving musical themes and tie the story together with them. Did Kanaya REALLY care about the Matriorb or even restoring her own race? You'd think that someone who wasn't godtier and pretty much the ONLY person who shouldn't be fighting should sit on the sidelines for being too big a risk to lose (see: Game Over).

Additionally, with AltCalliope's statements on how Space is an Aspect that has little significance except in specific moments, it stands to reason she should have stuck in the background to ride out the rest of the way to Act 7.

Instead for some insane reason she participates in the Condesce fight and doesn't die. It's some superior bullshit that not only breaks my immersion for the whole situation, but also breaks the statements about Space Hussie was slamming on Jade to keep her from doing cool shit in Collide.

For Homestuck, I think his pieces share a lot of problems with most songs contributed by people: they are too concerned with sounding awesome rather than good songs in my opinion. Heavy guitar riffs fit in with something gothic like Castlevania, but with Homestuck I always felt them misplaced.

also, dave had a lot of time duplicates when fighting but mostly as a split-second defensive or offensive maneuver, with two or three at a time, while Aradia's doubles just existed to soak up the black king's vast glub and did very little else besides that, and Damara's never protected her, just fucking went around and caused havoc.

an Heir of Time literally travels around and does their quests with their own personal party of them, some from doomed timelines, some from loops.

Well the most we can really say with Mages is they are quite likely the be the active counterpart to Seers in that they use their ability to generate knowledge in an active manner, be it to help their allies usually at their own expense or to help themselves which would likely be the combat side of things. So mind protecting at the expense of your own mental well being is a solid theory of how you could use your powers to help your allies. Whilst mind blasts are a standard manifestation of some form of mind mage would likely employ in combat, so fuck it roll with it.

Doom. An aspect even more obscure in nature than void due to the narrative. We can only extrapolate what Doom is from Sollux, but can only separate what separates a "Magey" thing from a "Doomy" thing by looking at Meulin, a mage of heart.
To quote Aranea:

That is one reason that we say that Doom=restriction faggot.

Well the Terezi scenario doesn't support it, particularly with non-God tier players. The Condesce and kids one however you can argue shows Rose using Mind-based combat abilities that don't co-inside with her class of Seer, she's just blasting lazers, some out of her weapon, some seemingly under her own ability and some in the fraymotifs. So I think it makes sense that seemingly non-combat orientated classpect combos should have some form of basic combat abilities at least. But it's nothing conclusive given the lack of alternate observations on hand.

Well, let's look at each part of the Prince of Blood makeup and have a think. In terms of the bonds and relationships side of Blood, Princes would walk a fine line of being exceedingly capable at interacting and facilitating team work, perticularly in combat given the destructive tendencies. However, they can justs easily upset and destroy the fine balance of bonds that any team requires to function, likely due to their own selfish impulses. So, they're incredibly important to have managed otherwise they could make or break a session's cohesion.

As for the non-bonds side of Blood, the most prominent possible ability is likely something to do with vitality, whatever that means. Examples of ways that could interact with Princes includes destroying with vitality, so increasing their own vitality and perhaps their team mates. Given the destructive focus of Princes it'd likely increase vitality linked to destruction, so making people stronger or increased stamina; something to that degree like a combat steroid in a videogame. Then there's the simple idea of destroying things, so destroying enemies vitality, likely with some kind of withering ability that makes their enemies vitality weaken. I could see it as an ability that's highly effective against living enemies and very weak against robotic or undead enemies.

Those are the most apparent ideas off the top of my head.
