Well, the Galran weren't the enemies in the old westernized Voltron show most people know about, Lotor, Haggar and King Zarkon are NOT Galran. The two old shows vehicle and GoLion share an antagonist called the Drule Empire. In GoLion Planet Doom (were Lotor, Haggar and King Zarkon spring from) is the Drule capital. However, the Galran are more from the Vehicle series that has an entirely different cast of purple space elf villains.

I'd say the show has highlighted Pidge, Hunk, and Shiro pretty well, but has yet to really utilize Lance and Keith. Lance at least gets to be the comic relief , while Keith is the epitome of bland. Which is kind of funny because the 'red' guy usually gets the most focus.

I'm hoping Keith and Lance get good arcs next season, arcs that don't focus on their dumb rivalry.

Shiro is probably around 19-20, though it could just be a case of an older person referring to a young adult as a kid since it's relative.

I envision most of the characters being around 18-19 as they are able to live on their own, are extremely knowledgeable in science/technology and have attended an academy with rigorous requirements for a long time, though for all we know they skipped grades or something due to their intellect; they could easily be a few years younger.

Unless we get an in-universe confirmation of ages it's all up in the air really, but I don't care about their ages one way or another since I know my sweet brown sugar princess is over 10,000, and I like my women to be as old as my wine after all. Or however that saying goes.
