I'd say the comics are pretty good and worth the time to read. They're more based on the movies than the cartoons though.

Yes, because it follows the continuity of the movies and video game, which is separate from The Real Ghostbusters. There is a crossover miniseries between the two, though.

On a related note, today I received my copy of the official Tobin's Spirit Guide that Burnham wrote. Very nifty stuff.

You're underselling the influence of RGB and XGB

>Ghost Grenade (RGB)
>Ghostsmashers is basically 'Robo-Buster' minus the robot (rival company that "destroys" ghosts, backfires, team-up)
>The New Ghostbusters arc deals with the kidnapping of the original team while Janine has to save them (can't remember RGB episode)
