Neither of the main characters interested me, at all. They put a ton of detail into the background but it doesn't make a difference when the main characters are still incredibly cartoony.

I saw it recently. It was a good movie, and after watching think I know why they made Dinosaurs cudly.
There is a lot of very harsh scenes in this movie so they toned town Dinos to be more kid friendly and damage on them look cartoony.
The kid rips of part of Pterosaurs wing, Arlo legs look VERY painfull when he gets out of water

Also this movie had one of the best Animal-human character. They balanced both qualities so well!
He clearly was more clever than dinosaurs, but still had wild animal quirks. Amazing writnig and animation on this guy.

Also. The kid RIPS head of bug. That was a very good character building scene

The only real goofy looking Dino was Arlo and his famiily. Loved how raptors were pictured.
And after the movie I can asure you that stills look a lot worse than in movie (like almost always)

I didn't like the art but i went for the story. It was pretty meh, it was a very mediocre film IMO.
