Is Mike Tyson this likeable IRL?
>>
He bit a dude's ear off.
>>
>>83603612
I'm still pretty amazed that he was a good enough sport about being a part of a show designed to make fun of him.

I would have assumed he might have tried to beat the shit out of everyone involved.
>>
>>83603612
He's a convicted rapist. We love him.
>>
Didn't he start threatening to fuck up an announcer that was just interviewing him one time?
>>
wtf I hate mike tyson now?
>>
>>83603612
This stupid? No. This likable? Yes, just look at the segments he does during the credits.

this guy gets it. mike was never right. the only chance he had for a "normal life" died with Cus D'Amato.
>>
>>83603867
Pretty much. Tyson is fucking crazy in real life. I assume he takes meds these days to help, but he has legit mental issues.
>>
>>83604027
And any mental issues he had were only exacerbated by being hit n the head a lot.
>>
>>83603612
He's alot more chill in his old age?

>>83603658
Dude's branching out, he has a broadway show and everything.
>>
>>83603612
Yes, he mellowed out in his old age
>>
>>83603612
Yes. I remember reading an interview where he starts talking about how trump is a cool guy and totally not racist
I thought i was reading the script for a new episode jesus christ i was laughing so hard
he's so goddamn dumb it's adorable
>>
mike tyson was actually a r9k robot when he was a kid

he used to get picked on a lot and bullied

the only solace he had was taking care of pigeons until one day some of the bullies killed his pigeons, and if I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, he went into a autistic rage and beat the shit outta them

then i guess somebody found out and said Im gonna turn you into a fuckin fighter and the rest is history

i vaguely remember reading this on his wikipedia
>>
>>83604195
and then he got shit on by his fight handlers. Dude had a rough life and a ton of pressure to be the top alpha dog.

So that explains the pigeons
>>
>>83603634
I've got close friends that have done worse.
>>
>>83604571
like what, tough guy?
>>
I'm cool with forgiving him
but it pisses me off that society still shits on other people instead of forgiving them, when they've done a lot less, or even nothing at all
>>
>>83604738
Most of my friends are either ex-military or ex-gang. I don't claim to be a tough guy. I'm just saying somebody's past doesn't preclude them from being a good person or a good friend in the future.
>>
>>83604738
Once my best friend snapped and stabbed this guy in the eye with a golf pencil. When the guy went down screaming he pissed on him until my Uncle pulled him up and attempted a citizens arrest. Luckily he got off entirely due to the fact that the PD never read him his Miranda rights.

This site is even funnier than the show http://miketython.com/

You mean like if you were to meat him on the street? Yeah.

But Mike himself is a complicated motherfucker that has done some terrible shit that he regrets. He's likable but what most people argue is whether or not he's a good person and if his regret and apologize are enough to warrant forgiveness.
>>
>>83604195
For the most part, this. Mike had probably the most raw talent of any champion boxer since Ali. There are some reels of him when he started and even then he looked like a professional with his speed and rhythm. All he needed by that point was a trainer that could give him the skill to up his punching power, and once that happened dude was on his own level.
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Je6odKSn1TU
>>
>>83605056
Almost like he's a human being with a colorful and resplendent life. No wonder people are so fixated on him. Most other human lives are similar, but not comparable to his in terms of highs and lows.
>>
I don't think he actually raped that chick.
>>
I want Trump himself to appear in an episode of Mike Tyson Mysteries. It'd be a big meme.
>>

Not him but my best friend is in prison for murdering someone with his bare hands and trying to pin his crime on someone that he had a beef with. I've also seen him snatch people out of their car for honking while driving by when they get stuck at the light.

Last I heard from him, he got stabbed in prison. Apparently he has a beef with his brother in law for snitching on him after he went to the police and tried to pin his crime on someone else. Brother in law still got 20 years for helping hide the body.
>>
>>83605644
Tyson himself acknowledged what he did. People he worked with stated they were surprised there weren't more complaints.
But no clearly Its all lies and conspiracy because a sex obsessed violent mentally unstable man with impulse control issues and who normally gets what he wants couldn't have an issue taking no for an answer.

Not at all. You have a guy convicted in a court of law despite the money to buy any lawyer. He admitted to what he did. His manager acknowled he had issues with women.
I feel that if that isn't enough to make someone believe a woman when she says she was raped...it's probably a deep seated hatred of women at play.

They have to give you a Miranda warning, however the Miranda warning is only required if they're questioning you after arrest. That's why it's most commonly given at the point of arrest. It also only excludes statements given, but not the results of police acting on the statements.

>>83606378
If he hadn't already been convicted of the crime that might be the case.

It's video games, what do you expect? I'm the biggest gaming enthusiast you're gonna find and even I'm gonna admit: the video gaming community consists mostly of twelve year olds and people who were never told that they should stop acting like twelve year olds.

It's where death threats are the go-to reaction for everything deemed mildly disagreeable. What the hell do people expect at this point?

I always see this here, people defending alleged rapists tooth and nail. I get that you don't want to be seen as an SJW and SJWs always accuse people of rape and rah rah we all hate them etc. but what do you really have to gain by acting like no one has ever raped anyone? Why do I always see people on this site angrily defending people they've never met that almost certainly raped someone? It's like since tumblr is anti-rape you have to be pro rape to be cool on 4chan.
>>
>>83607118
That joke was brilliant, I love that he can look back on moments like those in his life and laugh about them.
>>
>>83606796
They were in Grudge Match, made a joke about it. I'm pretty sure it's water under the bridge.
>>
>>83607169
I just hope Evander can.
>>
>>83607127
Not that guy but personally I just don't want to believe anybody raped anybody, even if I know it's happened. It's a terrible thing and while I can't pretend it doesn't exist, I can certainly be upset to the point of arguing for them when I hear about it.
I mean doesn't anybody here actually wish Cosby raped someone? I mean I know he probably did but it's not definite.
>>
>>83607127
The irony is that the internet hate machine is more forgiving than SJWs. Cross a SJW and they will consider each offense fresh even centuries after death. Somehow 4chan is more accepting if there is true signs of a person showing remorse and doing their best to better themselves.
>>
>>83607232
Well at least he won't have to hear them.
>>
My grandmother met him in an airport when he was still the champ and she had no idea who he was.
Apparently all his entourage were pushing through and my grandma asked her friend next to her "is he famous? What's he do?" And Tyson stops and goes "I hit people" with his lisp, and then she recognized him. Then he took a photo with her.
Tysons cool in my book, he was nice to my grandma.

Women love to go into male spaces, kick up dirt and bitch and scream about how they don't like the place. Especially now since its apparently newsworthy.

Well actually the opposite. People in general liked him a lot but he had a shoooooort fuse. He had difficulty connecting cause and effect. So, he'd threaten to beat someone into the street and leave them for the cars in one moment and then the next moment he's asking the same person what flavor of ice cream they want because he's treating everyone to two scoops of whatever they want and he'll wonder why they don't want any ice cream. His dedication was 100% tho and if he says he's going to do something, then he'll do it no matter what without hesitation.
>>
>>83605079
The problem is that Tyson stopped developing his skill, and turned into a brute whose strategy was to simply hammer others into submission through pure strength and ferocity.

Tyson knew he couldn't beat more skilled and technical fighters on their level, and that's why he really bit the ears off: So he didn't have to lose. Guy was messed up, but I'm glad he seems to have changed and gained some reflection over his life.

>Tyson knew he couldn't beat more skilled and technical fighters on their level

Tyson, at least early in his career, was plenty skilled and technical. I'd go so far as say that he was a boxing prodigy. His footwork was superlative for a heavyweight—he was great at cutting off the ring. He didn't "follow" guys around the ring, he herded them (one of my favorite subtle Tyson techniques was the way he would "touch" opponents to the body with short, half-powered hooks to stop their lateral movement). His upper body movement and educated feet also allowed him to get inside his opponent's jab in a way I haven't seen since the great Joe Frazier.

Tyson had an underrated ring IQ, but because his punching power was so impressive, it was the only thing most people remembered about him.

The problem with Tyson was really his inability to deal with adversity in the ring. Once Buster Douglas showed that he wasn't going to crumble under Tyson's power, it seemed like the fight left Iron Mike.

I will agree, though, that the post-prison version of Mike Tyson regressed as far as his technical skills. It's like stopped caring about technique and just turned into a half-committed brawler.
>>
>>83618025
To add:

One of the reasons Mike Tyson's technique looks underdeveloped, even to some long-time boxing fans and even trainers, is because he loved to use "shift punching." It's a technique that fell out of favor in North America and the UK in the mid-20th century, so to somebody who's only watched the great post-WWII boxers from the US and Mexico, "shift punching" looks sloppy (there are numerous videos on YouTube that explain shift punching). Tyson's original trainer Cus D'Amato, old school trainer that he is, kept the technique in his bag of tricks.

Some of the best contemporary boxers to employ shift punching come from the former Eastern Bloc (such as Gennady Golovkin) and Asia (such as Manny Pacquiao), places where shift punching never lost popularity as a boxing technique.

Yeah, that's pretty common with murderers. Most people don't have the gall and complete lack of foresight to follow through with that kind of shit.

Video games are not a male space or any kind of space. They are a medium. You can't just say an entire medium belongs to only a certain type of person.

Most of the sexist stuff in games is not about artistic expression. It's about pandering to who they think the audience is. Developers are just beginning to understand that the audience is more diverse than just a bunch of teenage boy nerds.

Mike interacting with people is always interesting.
I remember when he was at Charlie Sheen's roast, he was obviously wasted, and there was a moment when Steve-O dared him to punch him.
And for a moment, we all thought Steve-O would finally die.
He pulled the punch in the end, he seem to have navigated into happy drunk mode, but for a second it was a bit scary.
>>
>>83620566

Is it really, though? Sure, not all gamers are nerdy male teenagers but they make by far the buggest demographic. It always struck me as a bit cynical to complain about sexualised women in games. Most people playing them are probably never gonna see a real woman naked. Why take that away from them?

My favorite Mike Tyson "happy drunk" moment:

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3v9qej

He's doing guest commentary for an MMA fight. I think it's hilarious when he laughs at himself for using the word "resounding" to describe the knockout, like he was pleasantly surprised to find the opportunity to use the word on TV.

>>83623203
Having 1 or 2 black guys that simply got missed in historical records wouldn't be entirely out of the question but the level of whining being displayed in the pic shows that they wouldn't be satisfied with that.

I work at a grocery store in Calabasas, CA and I've met a few celebs and can confirm that the following are pretty cool: Tommy Lee, Nicky Sixx, Ken Jong, Kendra Wilkinson (gave a homeless woman a gift card and didn't make a big deal out of it), Kim Kardashian (she's actually pretty cool about taking pictures with people), Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian (yes, all three Kardashians are actually pretty chill), Tom Bergeron, Steve Blum (I actually met him at a convention and he's chill as fuck), The Game, and while I didn't meet him in person, one of my coworkers told me that Katt Williams tipped him $50 for taking his groceries out to his car.
Also, a friend of mine met Cloris Leachman and told me she's one of the sweetest women you ever talk to.
