Hey /co/,
whats the best free reader software for comics with cbr files?
Tried CBR reader, but its clunky as shit for reading and changing pages.

Funny. I'm using CBR Reader and I'm not having any problems.

i prefer yacreader
PerfectView. Works for comics and downloaded manga.
SumatraPDF, it reads damn near everything.
Open in WinRAR; view/extract JPEGs.
Never have to deal with any of that extra bullshit.

alrigh5 (deletes) alright guys welcm- (deletes) welcome to this tutorial where just rename the .cbr in the file into .zip and extract all the files so that you can read that shit

funny, maybe you're a faggot and think smug responses are solutions.

Honeyview in Windows, Sequential in Mac. They're actually all-purpose image viewers, but they work well as CBR/CBZ readers.

YACReader is my go-to.

I didnt like CBR Reader, Comical for me.
I just use MComix on my Linux setup (in part because it's the only thing in the official Arch repositories).
It has just enough features to be better than a standard image viewer (bookmarks, two page mode, manga mode, fit to size) while also running very smoothly and being able to grab/enhance a specific image in an archive file, which most fully-featured comic readers don't do.
I prefer to unzip them and view in JPEGView
I have pic and mapped the thumb wheel to back/forward and scroll wheel to zoom
I only wish sometimes it would retain zoom over multiple pages for some of the higher res more detailed issues but I know I'd still have to mess with it on double pages so it's only a very minor thing
I have GonVisor for reading and CDisplayX to make the covers into thumbnails
