Well, one thing was that Evan's booth was a bit more secluded than the others, because he's not big on crowds, so his booth was really small and boxed in on 3 sides, where the other guys pretty much all had wide booths that were connected. It was also a big thing about "Please don't talk to Chris, if you're assigned to his area, do not even think of deviating from anything except the end of the line, Chris's management has clearly expressed the following conditions.

I mean, some of it was typical "Do not geek out on the guests" type of deal, but they made it very clear that he's pretty introverted, which is cool with me, because I'm pretty much the same way, and had no real intention of interacting with anyone outside of what was absolutely necessary.

One of the staff did make a really funny joke about "Don't fall into Chris Evans' booth, or we'll have to shoot him".

95% of fans are pretty chill. He left the table to wander the floor and buy comics (this was primarily a comic con) and it was fun watching people browsing the longboxes do a double-take. There was one group of like five 13 year-olds all dressed as the TARDIS, and they couldn't talk to him because they couldn't stop crying, so waved them back into the photo booth for a re-shoot afterwards.

One guy had this super-serious, awkward conversation about how Punky Brewster was secretly a Time Lord. After he left, Barrowman told us this guy comes to almost every Con, and he brings new Punky Brewster evidence each time.

The most awkward moment was when one kid who was clearly autistic held up the whole line by dumping a lot of stuff on the table and digging through a backpack. I was moving to step in and usher the guy along, but Barrowman waved me off, so I got to watch this kid find and flip through a notebook with agonizing slowness until he found the thing he just had to show John, which -- I shit you not -- was a pencil sketch on lined notebook paper of John and the Doctor as Sonic-style hedgehogs in front of the TARDIS, that he then explained in detail. Barrowman looked very interested in the whole ramble, praised his art and all the work that must have gone into it, by which time what I assume must have been the kid's older brother swooped in being all THANK YOU and led him away.

Nobody left with an unpleasant experience. It was so Pro.

Usually about early teens is when fangirls are the worst at cons, and they tend to group together. It's weird being inappropriately groped and stalked by girls about half your age.
