Speaking of Tats.

Anyone else see her motorcycle as less "YAY ADVENTURE!" and more along the lines of the end of Rumble Fish? The motorcycle being some old Russian model does lend itself to belonging to a former mentor or guiding figure.
>>
>>83474586
I've never really seen it as "yay adventure" just whatever means Tats has to get around with her limited budget.

In all honesty, it comes across as rather boring to me. I'd love a story where she ends on one of those bullshit flying bikes like you see in Dragon Ball. It'd make more sense since anons are always flip flopping on where she lives: on the floating island or down on the ground.

Looked back at this Golden Girl idea from a couple threads ago:

https://desustorage.org/co/thread/82990181/#83051526

And I've got an idea how Audrey's narration would go:

>PANELS 1-2: establishing shots of SQ and GG arriving and meeting the other superheroines
>"Sometimes Silver Queen brings me to [team name] meetings. They're superheroines who get together to save the world, or swap crimefighting tips, or just catch up."

>PANEL 3: the other superheroines treat GG with the sort of semi-distant affection adults usually give a friend's kid they don't see very often
>"They always tell me I'm developing into quite the superhero myself."

>PANEL 4: GG silently takes note of the fact that all the superheroines have fairly ample bosoms
>"And I've noticed they're all pretty 'developed'..."

>PANEL 5: GG looks down at her own chest, raising an eyebrow at the realization that she's the biggest one in the room
>"...But I think I might already be the most 'developed' one here!"

I think the last line in particular still needs some tweaking, but there you go.

He's a cosmic being, he exists in the same universe as all the other stuff in the /coc/ shared setting, he just exists somewhere far away from Earth, so he doesn't show up in anything that happens on Earth.

Here's a couple that haven't been done that get re-posted every so often.

-Panel one GG jolts out of bed because a hero alarm is going off
-Panel two she's struggling to get her costume on while running (like hopping on one leg)
-Panel three she gets stuck in the door on her way out
-Panel four she's dealing with the speed of the bike causing her boobs to not be cooperative (they're bouncing into her face repeatedly in the sidecar if she's in the sidecar)
-Panel five she's punching a purse snatcher in the face
-Panel six ggcivicduty.png

>PANEL 1: Missiles streak through the sky.
>RADIO VOICE: Soviet missiles incoming! Those blasted Commies are trying to destroy Platinum City!
>PANEL 2: As the missiles approach the cityscape, something begins to rise up to meet them.
>RADIO VOICE: Deploy missile interception system!
>PANEL 3: The "something" is a gigantic bra, suspended from two poles like a slingshot. The missiles land in the cups with a loud "SPROING!"
>RADIO VOICE: Interception successful! The city is saved!
>PANEL 4: In the foreground, a general salutes Golden Girl, who returns the salute. In the background, the recoil from the bra sends the missiles flying away from the city.
>GENERAL: Golden Girl, your country is eternally grateful for your contribution to national defense!
>GG: Happy to be of service, General! That one was getting too small for me anyway.
>PANEL 5: Audrey suddenly wakes up in bed. It was all a dream. A book (her dream journal) can be seen sitting on her nightstand.
>PANEL 6: Audrey opens up her dream journal and begins writing in it.
>AUDREY: October 3: I had that silly missile dream again. That's the fifth time this week, and it's only Tuesday!

So, pennc posted this elsewhere and it was in response to GG's costume not fitting the 50s era as well and looking a little too modern. They designed a new costume for her and I'm curious what /co/ thinks. I personally prefer the look she already has, but I'm a little torn since I do think the point about it looking too modern is a good point.
>>
>>83500797
I think GG's more streamlined look she has better matches her personality, she strikes me as the type who would prefer tight fitting crime fighting attire because it's one less thing for a thug to get a grip on.

The cape can detach, but her shirt isn't coming off if it gets grabbed.

She's much too modest to actually fight crime in a skirt, what do you take her for, a flapper?

But I don't think any of this matters unless someone is drawing a comic.
>>
>>83500797

I like this a lot.
>>
>>83501066
>The cape can detach, but her shirt isn't coming off if it gets grabbed.

That feels kind of modern too. Capes are usually just assumed to be a nonissue in the era of comics she's in.
>>
>>83501179
I think people forget GG is supposed to by genre savvy. It's actually in character for her to think that way.

Sometimes it works to her advantage, other times it doesn't since she can't see the comic book logic necessary to Batman logic the puzzle pieces together, which is another reason why she looks up to Silver Queen.

>>>/aco/615793
>>
>>83501251
>I think people forget GG is supposed to by genre savvy. It's actually in character for her to think that way.
Probably because we haven't made much use of that angle yet. We really should, that and the code filter.
>>
>>83501446
So we need a strip idea where GG being real world logic savvy saves her and SQ, but her not being wrapped up in the comic book logic of the world makes her look naive when SQ figures out the totally random and unrelated clues as if the solution were obvious.
>>
>>83501251
>I think people forget GG is supposed to by genre savvy.

Genre savvy means understanding the genre you're in. If capes are magically a nonissue in the setting, it is being genre savvy not to worry about it. You know that you will not have any problems from your cape, because you know the genre.
>>
>>83501647
She's genre savvy in the sense that she knows to pull the plug to the death machine than try the controls.

She's not Henchman 21 genre savvy, she's just "it seemed like the obvious/logical thing to do" savvy.
>>
>>83500797
>>83501251
>GG is supposed to by genre savvy.
why? for what purpose?
The Comics Code filter being a narrative joke I can see being humorous. Having GG break the 4th wall by knowing she's in a Golden Age comic story just makes her Gwenpool.
Do you guys want another Gwenpool?
Because that's how you get another Gwenpool...
>>
>>83501733
>She's genre savvy in the sense that she knows to pull the plug to the death machine than try the controls.
but that's not what that means??
that's just having more common sense than her peers aka Loony Toons logic.
>>
>>83502040
She doesn't know she's in a comic. That's self-awareness, not genre savvyness.

She's able to recognize and REMEMBER the patterns. She learns instead of stagnates.
There was an idea for a strip where she remembers she was in this exact same plot before and goes to where the bad guy will be before they get there to apprehend them before the rest of the plot can repeat.

And the purpose is because she's immune to the comics code. Her physical being goes against to the code, so the code can't censor her brain, it can't wipe the lesson of the day from her memory to reset her for the next plot like it can for almost everyone else.

Dude, bro. Please, no. Self-awareness and Genre savviness read like dookie, bro. Garbo, and pure trash.
Now, if her world adheres to, let's just called them old-timey comic tropes, for now, and she's plays more the "straight-man" to it all, then that's fine, I think.
>>
Well let's see if GG carries the thread into Sunday's day light hours.
>>
>>83502299
I don't care for your choice of words.

Golden Girl and the comics code is something that was set up since the character was made. It's not my fault you're just discovering this now.

If we were to ever have an actual story with Golden Girl and not just gag strips, it's there so we'd have an actual plot. That's the idea if we were to ever go through with a plot for this.
We probably won't ever have anything more than gag strips though, but it's still an element to the story that won't be going away since otherwise it becomes too one-note for even these threads.
>>
>>83502381
>something that was set up since the character was made.
That sure reads like it makes sense, anon, but ok. Still, that Gwenpool post ring true, and that genre-savvy thing is also skating close to it.

I had an idea for a group of villains based on these cringey photos I keep seeing of losers in black fedoras holding swords.

They're this bunch of insane white-knighty nerds with dangerous sword skills that cause all sorts of collateral damage in the name of "rescuing women" or "atheism" or "gamergate" or whatever kind of Reddit bullshit is popular with them. They're not like a huge threat; they serve as cannon fodder or throwaway bad guys or Villains of the Week for the /co/alition to punch around. Comic relief, even.

I'm thinking of calling them Fedora Samurai or something.

It's kind of a low-level genre-savviness, not fourth-wall-breaking at all. Back when we were creating her, I remember someone describing her as "practical, but not cynical," saying that where Silver Queen would punch out a death ray, GG would just unplug it. More about coming up with straightforward solutions when they present themselves.

And she's not aware of the Code's existence, either. She can tell that almost no one notices her bust, but she has no idea why.

They probably have, alien civilizations that have access to magic would definitely have made contact with denizens of the netherworld and those who rely mainly on technology would have ended up with a doom scenario at one point or another.
>>
>>83514951
I think that's ultimately what did in the Martians.

They tried invading Earth once, were stopped by Mighty Mantis apparently, then tried dabbling in mystic mambo-jumbo before the whole planet went extinct.

Though they might not have actually been Martians, they could've just used Mars as a staging point for their Earth invasion and then regrouped there when that failed.

Decades later /co/ntainment builds a base on Mars and picks up whatever they left behind before ending up with a DOOM scenario of their own, then using that same tech to fuck with invading alien mercenaries by unleashing BRUTAL DOOM upon them.

Cookie and Springtime have this weird feedback loop whenever they work together, it causes wonderful awful things to happen.

Random anon but I heard it the older one (July DeForthe) is someone who loves explosions and fire a little too much, and fights baddies with an array of high-explosive firework themed gadgets to get her kicks.

If it wasn't for the efforts of her 'sidekick' (April Showers) in putting out the fires afterwards she'd be alot more infamous than she already is as a 'hero'.

As for the relationship between the two April idolizes/looks up to July and thus follows her around helping out and calls her 'sir', in return July seems to consider April something kinda like an annoying younger sibling and more like tolerates her follower's presence.

>-Tats investigating the suicide of a hero

I didn't have time to draw somthing but here some things about the villian:

Practically the villian called the creator has been messing around with heroes lifes to create hero stories to get inspiration to draw comics. For that he goes to cities with a little amount of average heroes, which makes it easier to manupulate them. One of the cities is also the city where Tats is living because she was tired of the hero world. In those cities, most heroes hardly face any real catastrophies and most villians never really go that far.

>how to create a comic story

As a creator of stories, he himself can't be a relevant part of them, which means he can't be neither an official villian nor a hero himself. He can be a side/support-character but has to have an personality different from his real one.

Method 1: day to day bussines. It is like in the movie unbreakable, you create several accidents like a fire or a train getting off-rails, the imporant part is to challange the hero, for that he needs to know all about the limits of the heroes powers.

Method 2: supporting the villian. most hero-villian relationships have become stale, where the hero defeats the villian and then the villian escape, the method is to push the villian to his limits, so that the hero is pushed to his limits as well.

Method 3: The turning point. At this point, you turn the public against the hero. Could lead to hero vs. hero.

Method 4: a fitting end. Practically when the hero has reached his limits, he gets an individual end fitting for his story. It could be anything from retiring to the hero turning into a villian.

Method 5: the comeback. Noone really make it this far.

You would think, this takes decades with an actual heroic figure but your average hero only manage a few years at best before they break.

Now that I have the villians procedure, I guess I'll have to think about some heroes, which lives are gonna be hell.

Probably a lot of flexing monsters to death, protecting 90lb weaklings at the beach and pointing them down the path muscle building and the like.

Spotting gods too.

Maybe he runs a gym when he isn't doing hero stuff. If he even does hero stuff.

Yeah, buying military-surplus parachutes and hoping there's enough material to make a proper-fitting bra.

Goliath sure does seem spend an awful lot of time in the regular /co/verse, doesn't he have responsibilities back home?
>>

Who is to say that isn't in his home universe and everyone else is just visiting?

Makes me think with all of our leading ladies the way they are that there's a goddess of huge tits in the /co/ pantheon.

That's just good genes, and super science in the case of a few.

Well there's a goddess who has huge tits.

I'm also only bumping since I don't know if that GG comic is done now or not.
>>
>>83616008
She's a frost giant, not a goddess.
>>
>>83616008
>I don't know if that GG comic is done now or not.
I think it's done unless someone can think of a good enough gag for the title panel that Saburox would want to draw.
>>
>>83617203
Her hero title is "The Last Goddess" since she outlived her old pantheon.

>>83618047
Just trying to make sure.
>>
>>83618536
Frost Giants did not have a pantheon and it says in her bio she is a frost giant. She was actually on a mission to kill the norse gods for killing her father. Why she is described as the last goddess is a mystery cause she's definitely not one.
>>
>>83618644
You read the first line of her bio and then stopped I take it.

She was adopted by the very gods she wanted to kill and raised as a god, grew up with god kids, and was part of the gang until Ragnarok hit. Then Odin took his spear, infused it with the last of his power, thrust it into her hands, and sent her away from the death that awaited them all. She was sent through time and space and other dimensions until she crashed on Earth some thousands of years ago.

>>
>>83619487
Well according to mythology she's the goddess of bowhunting, skiing, winter, and mountains.
>>
>>83622265
Obviously not the same one since that one married Odin and made a shitload of kids with him. Also she dies in Ragnarok.
>>
>>83623327
Do you feel that Marvel's Thor is not the ~true and honest~ god of thunder because the mythological Thor never hung out with the Avengers?
>>
>>83623879
Got no problem with Thor. I just refuse to recognize a Jotun as a god.
>>
>>83624095
That's pretty harsh, considering even the Aesir themselves did. Were your parents shot in an alley by a snowstorm or something? For that matter, what's your stance on Loki?
>>
>>83624095
Are you one of those fucking idiots who pretends to worship old gods?
>>
>>83624211
The Aesir did not, there were a few exceptions but only the Aesir and Vanir were truly divine beings. Jotun were regarded with respect, but not seen as gods in the same light that they were. Loki is one such exception.

We're not really paying too much mind to the mythology here.

Her title is "The Last Goddess" in the same sense that people call Batman "The Dark Knight".

Even with her time on the Earth she landed on, she's fought other goddesses, notably a volcano goddess.
>>
>>83624586
Skadi/Skathi was another exception. Aesir status is clearly conferrable, whether honorary or literal.
>>
>>83624946
Her origin still doesn't add up. It says that during Ragnarok Gungir flung her through space and time. Disregarding the fact that Gungir is never said to possess magic like that and it's only "power" was perfect balance to strike any foe, Ragnarok is the end of EVERYTHING in the nine realms. So if she was sent back in time, wouldn't all of her Aesir buddies be alive by virtue of being before Ragnarok started?

>>83625135
That's fine, but /coc/ Skathi is clearly not the SkaĆ°i of our legend considering she isn't mentioned as being married to Odin or Njoror. Indeed, being married to Njoror was the first concession made to her for the killing of her father.
>>
>>83625266
You're still applying too much of the mythology to it.

Just think Odin infused it with god power and flung her away from that place.

Multiverse is in full swing in the /coc/ setting. He could've flung her into the universe that came after the universe was destroyed, or just to a parallel universe.

Though there is an alcohol nebula out there in space that a /co/smic being made specifically for Skathi's old pantheon or family (I forgot which). They never didn't get to taste it since they all died.

But then again /co/smic beings are singular in the multiverse, so normal rules don't apply to them.
>>
>>83625266
And Marvel's Thor's Mjolnir can generate dark matter and open spacetime portals, which the mythological Thor was never stated to do. He exists concurrently with modern heroes despite Ragnarok being discussed in past tense in mythology, and he and indeed his entire pantheon have survived multiple Ragnaroks. His powers are based on alien technology and the Odinforce, neither of which are mentioned in traditional tales. But for some reason that's kosher while /coc/ Skathi isn't?

The correct answer is that both are inspired by and take cues from their mythological counterparts, without purporting to be a 1:1 retelling of Norse mythology. Which really shouldn't be an issue in light of all the other nonsense that goes on in here.
>>
>>83625447
So she exists now in a world with no Asgardian pantheon? Surely if a "rogue" Jotun was wandering around her current univere's version of Midgard the Aesir, if they exist, would surely take notice, especially if it was seemingly a copy of THEIR universe's Skathi. If they DO exist, why have they not acted?
>>
>>83625637
Because all the gods of Earth fucked off a long time ago. Any of the current gods are a byproduct of the abundance of belief generated by sapient beings.

It's more Discworld rules than anything by this point.

The nine realms don't even exist properly in the /coc/ Earth she landed on. There are other planes, and space, but it's all similar yet totally different to her.

She probably spent the better part of a few hundred years just trying to figure out what still worked.

I know she ended up on the demon planes in the nexus at one point.
>>
>>83625637
In the /coc/verse, humans learned about the Asgardian pantheon through tales Skathi told. /coc/ Earth never had Asgardians of its own, they belonged to the realm Skathi escaped from.
>>
So I understand that the /coc/verse doesn't have many heavy hitters?
>>
>>83626600
There's some. General Freedom, Skathi, Enlightenment, and supposedly Manny Quinn are all very powerful. There's also some edgy 90s themed heroes who are presumably powerful though they haven't really been used enough to depict such. Tantrum is basically the Hulk.
>>
>>83619195
Hah, that's really cute/amusing.
>>
>>83626600
>>83627469
Briana is also pretty powerful but I guess she's not from the /coc/ heroes universe.
>>
So I just noticed something interesting.
According to the booru, /co/lette has 147 pictures. Marley has 106.

Golden Girl has 120, and there's at least 4 that aren't up there yet. Most of it's 34, but that's still pretty impressive given that her project is just barely a year old.
>>
>>83629511
Big tits are good motivation to draw. Briana has the vast majority of art on the BQ booru.
>>
>>83629564
Briana seems to have 102 images on the BQ booru.
>>83629511
And oddly enough compared to Golden Girl none of them are really porn, a couple of crudely drawn softcore pieces at most.
>>
>>83629511
The booru's /co/lette collection is so incomplete it's not even funny.

The shimmie has 758 /co/lette pics.

http://shimmie.4chanhouse.org/index.php?q=/post/list/colette/1
>>
>>83630383
I feel somewhat better about that actually.
>>
>>83630449
That's not even counting all the comic pages she appears on.

The actual number of /co/lette pics is over 800. It could even be over a 1,000, it's just that no one has been able to collect them all in one place.

People have been drawing her since 2008.
