So Shredder was abducted by an alien he knew nothing about prior, was told to open up a portal so the alien could take over in exchange for ruling the world and he didn't expect to get betrayed?
Why would he blindly trust a strange alien and not set up any precautions? The entire plot of this movie relies on Shredder's obviously misplaced trust...
