The Irredeemable story continues! However, we're only a few issues away from the Irredeemable cross-over with Incorruptible, so to get the full grasp of the story, we'll go right up to that issue, then start in on Incorruptible. Once the two are caught up, we'll do the cross-over issues together, then finish out both titles.

Does the triplet have a third eye?
Nnnno, you're confessing your sins there, brother.

Does Cary have any redeeming qualities? Seriously fuck this nigger
>>83405041
Well, he shuts up eventually.

Thank Christ
In all fairness, he was ranting about becoming a god a few seconds ago. And from looking at his past actions, he would have been crazy AND incompetent. Seems like the glass is at least 3/4ths full here.
Aaaaand this is where we leave Irredeemable...
...and start in on Incorruptible.
>>83405041
He honestly wants to be a hero and wants the world to be alright. Aside from his god complex, he is actually one of the nicer people in the story.

>tfw
>>83405435
If you ignore that his god complex results in Plutonian surviving, the recruitment of barely restrained super-criminals, smacking around his allies and friends... he wants to be a hero much like Plutonian does, no matter what it costs the little people.

He wanted to fuck his brother's waifu, flat out murder his other brother, forced Burrows to read the minds of serial killers, and on top of that he's a beta.
>>83405336
Modeus is the scariest Doom/Ultra-Humanite/Jericho/Savitar hybrid
>>83405329
Modeus was getting that Plutonian dick
So what's so bad about Incorruptible? It seems okay so far.
I'm amazed nobody has drawn that fight yet.
>>83405866
It's not bad, it just... underachieves. And for all Mark Waid said these two series proved he wasn't stuck in the Silver Age, the lack of bite here kinda undermines that claim.

>>83405936
Not sure if the right thing to do was kill Super Mengele or arrest him.
The look on Armandale's face is just great.
>>83405945
This feels like a grindhouse flick or an action movie.
Don't get me wrong, those are cool things, but it doesn't really align with the overwhelming sense of apocalyptic despair and insanity that Irredeemable has.
>>83405968
"Super" Mengele might be a bit generous.
>>83405978
Yeah, like I've said, this series isn't BAD, it just doesn't quite get to where it was shooting for.
I'll be honest, I wish Max had opened the vial first here. Waid writes him as a little too sympathetic, which is kinda baffling, since he spent so much time crafting Plutonian into a lovely mass murderer.
Where is the previous thread? Always wanted to read this.

God damn it, I remembered the title and forgot the links to the past threads. Previous thread is here: >>83400563
Oh, good, you hid the half-cracked vial of supervirus in a random drawer of an ex-alcoholic. That is not a safe place by any definition, Max.
Good instincts, Jailbait!
...or not.
This, right here, this is why you run these ideas by your grumpy, ex-alcoholic Jiminy Cricket with a badge, Max.
Her alias is "Jailbait", man. Pretty sure Max beat you to making her a hand puppet.
I love this power set-up. One of the benefits of being so Silver Age - they knew how to do superpowers with actual drawbacks and flaws.
We're gonna call it here, night /co/wls. We'll jump back into Incorruptible tomorrow night!

Last thread is >>83400563
I'll get better at the storytime header posts, honest.
What was the reason the translator didn't translate "honor" right for survivor?
>>83408946
It's a subtle jab/foreshadowing that Survivor is going to go power-mad, so he wasn't able to understand the concept of 'honor'.
I'm still catching up on last thread, but thanks for doing this. I'm really enjoying it, but I do have one problemWaid should have focused more on Plutonian before he went nuts so we would have a better understanding of the character before he turns evil. I know he's basically Superman, but I just can't see Superman doing this and all the flashbacks have shown that he's nothing like Superman. I feel like I don't have a good grasp of his character before the turn.
