The original mini by Steven Grant and Mike Zeck
Mike Baron's Punisher run, although it got pretty weak near the end
Carl Potts' War Journal run
Baron and Dixon's War Journal issues
The Dixon and JRJR War Zone issues
Welcome Back, Frank
Ennis' Marvel Knights stuff
Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Hearts of Darkness

I loved that first arch of Marvel Knights.
Wasn't crazy about the others.

am i the only one who hated how they made Frank out to have always hated his family in the post Ennis MAX run?
Frank was always hinted at being fucked up but he loved his family

No I didn't care for Aaron's run either. His family dying is what made him snap, even if going by Born he was already The Punisher because of 'Nam.

R.I.P.

Unless the TV show uses her, at which point they'll probably go, "Uh, no, she was only paralyzed or put into a coma, or something".

Most underrated rouges gallery ever.
>>
>>83389919

Rosaline Carbone. Punisher fucked her back in the early 80's stories. She comes back several times but it is her last appearance.

This is the Ostrander run (Punisher joins the mafia)
>>
>>83389785
For as short as Punisher villians may last. they sure do leave an impact
>>
>>83390031
>Punisher joins the mafia
He did that in War Zone too. I think his fake mafioso name was Johnny Tower
>>
>>83390222

He literally joins the mafia, as in THE PUNISHER joins the mafia.
>>
>>83389013
The 9/11 issue of Punisher should've been the only 9/11 comic Marvel did. The rest missed the mark by a wide margin.

>>
>>83390271
Oh...I guess the things I've heard about Ostrander's run are true.
>>
>>83390222

Yes, but on War Zone he was undercover (and this is where he met Rosaline for the 1st time)

On Ostrander's he joins as the Frank Castle - Don Castiglione later on- and they are aware of who he is.

is this the best alternate Punisher design?

It is not bad until a certain point. And actually there is a valid reason to join them and then to stay with them.

I liked till was a mess of mishmash characters who had no business being there and just confused the main plot.
>>
>>83390452
Funny you should mention that as Frank's offended by the very idea of using a ptsd defence in his trial because it would be an insult to those suffering from it.
His arc is actually really good. He's like a raw open wound. Still bloody and exposed but by the end of the season...dudes fucking scar tissue. That thousand yard stare is firmly in place and it isn't about avenging his family or anything personal. Its just he needs to kill them, and they need killing.

I'm almost done the MAX one.

Mostly just the baddies from the one-shots and minis left to get headshots for.

I really like Dixon, a lot of the credit people give Ennis belongs in part to him.Dixon gave Frank a lot of psychological complexity, explorin the logical mindset of an action hero; you don't do what Harry Callahan, Charles Bronson or John McClane does without being slightly unhinged. Dixon touched upon these areas before Ennis entered the states, even arguably further.
>>
>>83394849
better than Kimmel's parody
>>
>>83401040
I'm sure this is probably good but jesus that art. Is this a throwback to 90's punisher, the time when Cable and Co couldn't tie their shoes without a plasma cannon strapped to something?
>>
>>83389748
Surprisingly decent. Reminds me of the old Aeon Flux show.
>>
>>83401187
Ennis even said he thinks Dixon did solid work on the character.

Angela.

I think she randomly became white in her last or penultimate appearance.

It wasn't Frank who shot her in that panel IIRC.
