I'm a long time GL fan. Even those shitty quarterly stories in the 70s and 80s when GL kept getting cancelled on and off. But fuck it, I'm done. I was going to grab both the GL Rebirth books and see if maybe it was going to get better, but I don't even have the motivation to read the storytime. No way in hell am I spending money on such garbage writers.

We'll see if I follow through when I get to the comic shop today. I'm pretty much only buying Superman Rebirth and nothing else today. Batman was shit, don't care about Green Arrow.

All the Rebirth issues have been boring so far, just establishing the "new" status quo from here on out. I will say I'm interested in the buddy cop thing they got going on, and it was nice to get some personality from Simon beyond "Waaah I'm not a terrorist!" when he first met Jessica.

And on the terrorist thing, it was nice that it was just two pages establishing his backstory for new readers a bit and then not mentioned again. Maybe Humprhies will be the first author to realize there's more to Simon than being a Muslim who stole a car. That's Simon's biggest problem, we've seen fuckall from him in terms of character other than him dealing with people thinking he's a terrorist.

I mean, I'm actually kinda interested in this now. I'll pick up the first few issues and see how it goes.
