I read Hellboy before i even knew about V for Vendetta. It is the first comic that made me think about comics as a true art of its own.

I don't come on /co much any longer, but I am glad I did today. It saddens me greatly that Mr Mignola is choosing to end such a fantastic work of art, but at the same time I am glad it is his own choice, and it is not being forced on him.

Still. I have been reading Hellboy since I started reading comics.

I will miss it.

the thing is, I want to read Hellboy but even if I appreciate what anons have been doing these days with the chronological Mignolaverse, I don't think it's a good starting point to read them in that order

Hellboy was my first comic, I picked up the first volume from my library and instantly fell in love, I honestly don't know how to feel about it ending
