Absolutely perfect designs.
Best use of that Krackle
just wanted to say that im here reading. I always wanted to read this series, and i never got a chance. Thanks op!
>>83335246
>be 10
>get a copy of Kingdom Come from a friend
>Alex Ross art everywhere
>he lends me a copy of this
>open it up
>Alex Ross didn't do the interiors like he did with KC
Did KC raise anyone else's hopes like this?
>>83335465
This is a million times better so no.
>>83335473
When I first saw the Celestials, I thought they were these awesome space god superheroes.
And then they all turned out to be space scientist cuntbags.
Tell me when they get to Odin's X origin.
>>83335473
it's funny seeing Aaron as such a stoic, brooding character here when he's been permanently re-characterized by Nextwave in 616
>>83335465
Leon is better than Ross and Earth X is better than KC.
>>83335696
>Leon is better than Ross
Don't forget severely underappreciated as well
JPL needs more love from /co/
The best Tony Stark scene of them all.
I guess the idea of Second Stage mutations that Morrison used in New X-Men was also from this.
This book is really really good.
>>83336302
Great, but kind of depressing.
>>83336100
At least for me Leon is one of the best artists that ever agraciated the medium. I even made a poster of the Earth X Marvel Monsters spread.
Sadly it seems he doesn't get much work. I can't believe he never worked on Daredevil. It would be a perfect fit.
Another underappreciated artist is Bill Reinhold, the inker.
>>83336375
There will be a bit of him after issue X
This series blends the scales this universe operates on very well.
>>83336443
this might be the coolest fucking page i have ever seen.
>>83336603
There are a bunch of pages like that in this book.
No book outside of Kirby uses that cosmic crackle as good as this one.
Sowing the seeds for the future.
>>83336968
>JJJ is a donkey
PERFECT
End of the Main series.
Wizard Magazine used to have connections, those sometimes led to special one off 1/2 issues sold through the magazine.
Earth X got one of those
Art here is by the inker, Bill Reinhold
This takes place before the Skull dies and has some information about characters who play larger roles in the future who are mysteriously absent from this book.
Appreciate the story-time, thanks HL
>>83337080
Almost done.
This corner of the Marvel U was strangely absent from Earth but appears much more in Universe and Paradise.
Earth is done.
Universe will begin sometime soon.
>>83335946
I'm surprised it took me this long to realize all the covers form one picture
Thanks for storytiming btw
>>83337335
All 3 series do that.
kingdom come was better
no bump from me
>>83338427
>Having this much shit taste
Kingdom Come was nostalgia wanking from Mark "Silver Age Or Bust" Waid
Earth X was a cohesion of decades of the cosmic mythology Jack Kirby crafted.
I love this comic OP
bump from me
Universe and paradise when
Universe is still interesting, I think. Has my favorite comic book death in it as well. Paradise is a bit half baked.
Poor Watchers kinda got the shaft though. And it does make you wonder how old the Celestials are compared to Galactus, who apparently survived the last universe. Not to mention why everyone looks humanoid.
Hold up, is Timely/Atlas the previous universe?
There's also the Trilogy Companion, OP. I will post some pages.
>>83342253
The Celestials came from the previous universe too, along Death. Also, the explanation for the comic book deaths and returns in the sequels is amazing and insane.
This is a guide for the first series and a pretty good reference guide to the Marvel Universe.
Iron Manor is a badass name.
I'm posting the more rare sketches.
>>83343397
Black bolt's costume looks great here
>>83343448
Also what happened to his face ?
>>83343486
They never really explained what happened to Black Bolt, but I understood that the "perfect man" is so perfect that he is Inhuman, so he became a machine.
The brief appearance of Cap's mother was in Avengers Under Siege, when Mr Hyde ripped the only photo Cap had of his mom.
I like Tank. He looks cute.
>>83343584
This comic has some really great characters
I'm still angry there wasn't an earth x domain in secret wars
>>83343630
>Earth X domain
>written by Brian Michael Bendis
>You said Inhumans?
>Yep, Inhumans.
>Inhumans? Really?
>Really, like mutants
Current Hyperion as inspired by Paradise X Hyperion. At least his design.
>>83343726
Well then i'm glad they didn't do it
This is what Galactus pulls from the earth at the end.
>come at me bro
>>83336101
>Man of Murder joke
>>83343845
>>83343860
Nice covers
>HAHA, FAGGOT!
>oldfag SpÃdey
>tfw no Gwen and no MJ
>everyone is Hydra
Earth X Hydra appeared in Secret Warriors, but usign the body of Madam Hydra.
This might the best book Marvel ever published
Benny Beckley, the son of the forgotten hero Comet Man.
Texas Jack, Marshal Muldoon was the last character Jack Kirby created for Marvel.
The crippled Wizard possibly came from MC2.
>>83344913
devilman hiding over in that back corner
Nice pouches.
>>83344976
Haha, never noted that
Love The Enforcers.
>Montana became lasso
Possibly inspired the Norman in charge of SHIELD/HAMMER.
Image limit reached. That's all for now folks, but there still many sketches and concepts.
>>83345242
Sorry, *never noticed that.
New Thread?
bump
i never got how Kingdom Come got so popular but this didnt
>>83344508
No aunt May
>>83344824
It's marvel's kingdom come
It's really underrated
>>83348609
Presentation and scope. Earth X is longer and denser (especially if you include the sequels and errata) because it takes the enormous breadth of crazy shit Kirby tried at Marvel and unites it under one conclusive roof. They may not all get heavy focus but nearly every character, every team, every Cosmic entity from the gods to the Celestials to Galactus to the damn Monolith is accounted for.
I'm probably in the minority but I think working backwards with Eternals vs his Fourth World approach probably served Kirby better in the end. Earth X is like the ultimate seal of approval for me, even if it's not "canon."
>>83349698
Aunt May is dead. Life goes on.
>>83348609
It's an awesome comic but not an "easy" comic.
will this continue to universe x, to be honest I read all of this hoping to see Moon Knight, enjoyed it but need my moon fix.
>>83353717
Moon Knight is in Universe X, where they explain how his "powers" work and how Konshu is actually Uatu.
>>83343806
He looks like a fucking mass production Eva.
Are the other two Earth X series as good as this one?
>>83335246
So did this ever get a proper reprint? Really want this entire story on my shelf.
Is there a better way to read storytimes other than opening it picture by picture?
Storytimes reader noob here.Or could anyone share a link?
>>83354596
Not really a better way but an extension helps. Try getcomics for a link.
>>83355356
Thank you!
>>83354050
I've only read universe X.
It holds up.
>>83336331
Did I miss the exposition of this in comic form? Link? The Earth X Odin story. It ties in with Meagan being locked in a statue.
>>83355884
No problem anon, enjoy.
