I just got to say the last two years. The Big Two and Marvel especially have taken the wind out of my sails and I almost gave them up entirely. But this storytime has reinvigorated my love of comics.

I was reading Joe Casey's "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" series the other day and that gave me a new appreciation for Millar. That's a 616 story but it tries to retell the early days of the Avengers as if they made sense in the real world, and it's mostly a lot of pointless additions to stories that weren't supposed to make sense.

Millar at least has a POV on the Avengers and superheroes, it may be dated but it works.

And then it falls in love and I love Ultimates 3 okay. There, I admitted it. It's loud, it's dumb, and a lot of it doesn't make sense, but dammit if it isn't fun.It's not a good comic and I would never say it is, but I love it and am perfectly okay knowing I'm in the minority. I feel the same way about Ultimatum. I absolutely understand the hate for them but they're like Transformers: Age of Extinction, there's some dumb charm to it that draws me in. Storytimed ruin, hate me all you want.

I don't really hate any Ultimate story. Even Kirkman's stuff got redeemed by Spencer and this is all shit I grew up on so it's all very nostalgic for me. I love the best and I love the worst. Fuck Marvel for ending it.
