Idea so far.

Professor starts dating the mousy one say going with the earlier idea of their name being a joint spider pun. Girls are okay with this until they see her lab partner the one that looks obviously evil. So by their logic they figure that the mousy one must also be up to no good an therefore don't trust her.

Also the professor has to be arachnophobic and is fighting it back when she talks shop because he really likes the girl.

And a whole bit will be obviously evil one doing all sorts of things that should turn her into a monster. She gets all kinds of chemicals doused on her, exposed to radiation and spider bites. And nothing ever happens to her.

And the transformation has to be more than "becomes a giant spider” but also has to be a fake out.

Say we get it after Mousy eats a bag of some snack food and has a reaction with a shot of a warning label on the bag "Warning contents my turn you into a Giant Spider." Or similar.

Then we get a big Cronenberg moment from shadows with the sounds of bones snapping and growling and then *pop* instead of a giant spider she's just a cute little Spider Lady.

Girls decide they judged her wrong and come to apologize Buttercup see's the Spider Lady and trying to kill her before Blossom sees the bag and intervenes. Bubbles talks to her since she's like a Spider and therefore Bubbles can speak to her. Next is "We'll take you to the professor he'll know what to do."

They go back to find him practicing his Ukulele with the obviously evil one. So little Spider Lady gets heart broken mistaking the situation.

Girls fly over "Professor we need your help!"

What is it girls. Little Spider Lady is all curled up and sad starts to move.

Professor freaks "Eek a Spider!" swats her with his Ukulele sending her sailing and PING DONG DING! down a vent into the laboratory where she falls into a glowing vat and we start hearing V.O. of Professor and the Obviously evil one as Mousy Spider Lady starts twitching. Then open glowing eyes and dramatic music downbeat.

Then back to the professor and the obviously evil one now looking obviously concerned about the situation.

“Oh Golly, I'm Sorry girls. I hope the Mousy one is alright. I was just practicing with her lab partner for my date tonight.”

Que rumble from outside the house and then the roof being torn off and the now GAINT SPIDER LADY who RUMBELS OFF “YOU STOLE PROFESSOR!!”

She wraps them both up in webbing and trucks off into town for the big monster battle.

Girls try to reason peaceably but Spider Lady in too much of heartbroken rage to listen starts attacking. Girls start to respond and The Professor calls to them to not hurt her.
Girls try to work out a differently line of attack and the professor goes “Girls get me my Ukulele, I've got an idea.”

Girls free Professor get him the Uke and then he starts to sing the song he'd been planning for the date.

Spider Lady starts to calm down and revert back to human form. Professor confesses his fear of spiders and that he should have told her earlier.

She tells him “that's alright. I think I'm done with it now, it was getting under my skin.” A spider leg comes from around her back and hugs The Professor and he lets out a nervous chuckle and starts sweating . All have a laugh

“And so the day was saved thanks to.” *cue starburst and group shot* “the power of music. "That Professor is a pretty good singer.” narrator starts humming the tune. “Oh yea”.
