Star and Marco's proportions remind me of Mewberty, so a good halfway point from Mercury's slender bodies with thinner faces, and the a little bit to "monkey looking" faces from episodes like St. Olga's and Storm the Castle. The scene with Ludo and his... new army? Is short, but looks smooth.

Not all stands are forces of nature that could destroy the universe. Not all of them...
I always thought that since Star already has magic, her Stand would be more like a "support" or a "helper" that wouldn't be used directly in combat. In fact, it could be something related to use her magic with more "precision", meaning she'd be more powerful when she has her wand, but not as powerful if she doesn't have it.
Of course, all of this assuming it's the regular continuity and not an JJBA-AU like universe...

Man, my biggest worry for season 2 was that we'd just go back to Ludo attacking at random like nothing had changed. Well, that could still happen, but at least they're directly continuing from the finale.

Nah, they moved Pickle & Peanuts, that usually aired in the evening, to the 11am slot in June as well. There are probably more kids watching tv in the morning during summer. I think that they are going to re-air it at 8pm or something like that anyway.

If anything they are trying to push Star as the main show for the channel, with three seasons and a short comic series planned for september.

I actually don't really mind the characters looking slightly different from episode to episode.

It's a show that tends to exaggerate movement and facial expressions all the time anyway, so it's not like a character looking different from the stock promotional art ruins the immersion or anything.

They seem to REALLY want to make it the next Gravity Falls in one way or another. They seem to be capitalizing hard on the fact their audience likes the Adventure Time formula which became such a popular concept. Star was mostly built to be an episodic show and that's where it shines best, but taking it out of its intended nature, well, I can only hope the writers are able to package it altogether well.

I don't mind plot, I'm just worried about taking a show out of its better nature to try and fill for it. But if Wander Over Yonder can do it, and if it's by the same company doing cartoons, then I'll remain half-faithful about the idea.

Eh, I feel like some element of serialization was there from the beginning. The last episode of season 1 was recorded just before the first episode officially premiered in January 2015, so it was intended to have a story before fans even knew what the show would be like.

I actually think the finale was stronger than almost everything else from the entire first season (I liked maybe 2 half-episodes slightly better), so I'm not at all opposed to more plot.
