Usually hate equating things to Batman, but I like to think it's the opposite of his approach to fear.

Batman uses stealth and theatrics to become more than a man, which is terrifying because you fear the unknown. But Frank stands in the open with no mask and tears down everything in his path, which is equally terrifying because you fear the inevitability of it.
