Pinecest was at first, and actually was the only real ship in the game for a long time, since although a lot of people like Wendip there's not a massive amount of content for it. In Season 2 Billdip in particular and Padippica overtook everything else. Plenty of people still like Pinecest though, it's just outside of Doublepines there weren't as many dedicated content creators for it I guess.

The only good thing to come out of all of that was the relative lack of any real ship wars. Ship wars are always retarded and since shippers of many different ships, Pinecest or Stancest or Wendip or any of the Bill ships, were constantly being called pedophiles and thrown into the same box I guess squabbling among each other seemed ridiculous. I check the tumblr tag for new content for pretty much all the ships now and again ( just like to see new content, don't care for what) and there's maybe ten times the content for Billdip as for anything else there. You can't see it outside of the tag often because the the hubbub about abusive ships and blah blah people don't put it in the other tags anymore.

There was a thread here about ff.net and I think Billdip and Padippica were tied for the most fic there. Obviously on ao3 Billdip crushes everything else but that's a fujoshit site so of course it does. And the Russian Billdip fandom is just massive. Meanwhile as memed about pixiv has lots of Mabill for some reason.

I feel like Pinecest is very popular but there's definitely not as much content for it as I'd like.
