The statistics are for copies bought by stores, and not all copies are necessarily sold to customers. So the fact that "sales" went up just means that stores are more confident in it (which is also good though!)

Steve Lieber is great - I love how he supports storytimes when they are essentially pirating his work. I guess in some fashion, they get more readers?

I remember liking it and throwing him like $5-10 on his site afterward because he was so cool about it. But I don't remember anything about the story. I should re-read.

Good comic, sure, but I think the creator just coming around and being personable instead of throwing a fit makes people go "You know, he's alright. I want to support things he works on". It instills a sense of loyalty and camraderie IMO.
