In the climax of the movie Red Scull wanted to effectively destroy the world rather than rule it so it's not hard to see that why Zola might renounce him as not true HYDRA. This is my interpretation.

Was anyone else expecting the post credits scene to be a reveal that he had survived by copying himself to the memory stick? The fact they made a point of showing that Black Widow had grabbed it even though it no longer played a huge role in the story seemed like evidence.
