poppy's strength doesn't make sense.

Yes, I know, the setting allows for basically no limit to physical ability but magical healing and lazyness makes it so that most people never get there. I get that.

However, in a setting like that where you have a hated underclass of person who CANNOT be subject to healing magics and generally live lives of hardship you'd either:

A) Have a group of them somewhere that decides enough is e-fucking-nough, get swole as fuck and just wipe the floor with a continent or two and completely "get even" with everyone.

2) Have an intelligent benefactor who begins a breeding program, training them intensely from birth, breeding himself an unbeatable army.

These things would be almost certain to happen in a setting which allowed it.

Poppy's strength either isn't intrinsic or the world is retarded.

I take this to mean that there are specific mutations/very narrow and not currently known series of events/both. Not everybody can become super strong, and it might only be possoms.

So, it all makes sense if you only very rarely get a super strong opposom. Because they can exist, the fearful would try to destroy them all. But they don't happen often enough to actually be able to have an organized offense of super-possums. I'm betting Ophelia and Poppy are existing at the same time is something that nobody can remember ever happening.

It looked pretty but not super interesting so I didn't start following the comic yet.
